Because they are Lions and they hired Grizzly Adams as their coach.
Wish the Bears hired him like they should have.

The answer is simple, they are the Lions. Since 1970 they have a winning percentage of .414, have 3 division titles and have 1 playoff win.  They only won 8 or more games in 16 of the last 48 seasons.  The Vikings may not have won a super bowl but at least they give the fans a reason to be optimistic most seasons.  18 division titles, 20 playoff wins, and won 8 or more games in 36 of the last 48 seasons.
