For those who don't want to click on it, Next Gen says that Linval Hungry hit a top speed of 18 mph on his fumble return.

He's fast, and was really moving; especially for a big man!  I think he felt it aftwards though. B)

That's pretty impressive actually. The big man is quite remarkable.

I was watching that with some friends and we were joking how slow he looked, but I said, "I guarantee he's faster than any guy in this room."

Even the linemen on a pro team are freak athletes.

Good blocking helped keep him clean, but the fact that no little WR or RB was able to track that big man down sez something.  One block by Sheldon and he was off.  And yes, he was moving.

I dont think Sheldons contribution gets mentioned enough,  he had the smarts to basically just get in the way of that guy when he had a perfect opportunity to light him up but that would have drawn a flag... great situational awareness by Richardson on that block to spring LJ.

If anyone has ever had the opportunity to see these guys up close during practice / games... you'll know that it blows your mind how fast they were.  Remember Pat Williams?  I had the chance to watch him practice- about 20 feet away- with the Buffalo Bills... and I had the exact same thought as King Bash said: "There's no way I could beat this guy in a race!"  He was SO quick and fast... at well over 300 lbs.  These guys are some of the best overall athletes in the world!

Pat had incredible quickness for his size.  Amazed me how he could chase down a guy on the sideline.  Linval is even more amazing.  He isn't overly fat, just a huge man and can move.

Pretty sure I could beat Pat in a 100 yard dash, but probably not a 20-30 yarder.

Somebody said that at the bar I was watching as well.  I agreed.  I see he's listed as having run a 5.04 forty time.  That is moving for a 320 pound dude!  He looked damn smooth running too, not like some of those blobs we see sometimes.  It was still a little funny to see a big guy running that far - doesn't happen often.

I'm now genuinely curious what I'd clock. I guess I could find out. Just as easy as going to the track with a friend and a stopwatch...

Yeah, it mostly is.  There still are some that are pretty darn thick below the waist, but not a whole lot with the Ball belly... or to that extent anyway.

I'd be more worried that I would cough up one of my lungs running now.

I could do about 5 seconds of a forty before one or both hammies said done. Over under would be twenty yards

They should put him at TE. He looks faster than Rudolph at this point.

I thought Rudolph was going to be in for a big year - but Diggs and Thielen have been so spectacular it's cut into his production.

I'd love to see us get an Ertz type player in an upcoming draft or FA period. Even an Ertz Lite.
