Where is George Iloka and why did they sign him?
Its interesting. Maybe George is wondering the same thing, too. Maybe he was just a backup depth type signing, as what he signed for would lead you to believe that. Not sure.
Agree, should come in for Kearse. Kearse was bad. Sandejo, on the other hand, has had two very good games.
didn't we sign him like a week and a half ago. Guy needs time to get up to speed even if he does know the defense some. Terminology changes. And Sendejo isn't exactly terrible either. No reason to put a guy in that isn't an upgrade until he is. At this point it is nice to have him as the backup.

Thought he would be in some packages by now.
As much as I despise Rodgers, I will concede that he might not be the QB you want to go against when trying out some new schemes and unfamiliar players.
Maybe he gets some snaps this weekend. I'd like to see him with the 1s in a game instead of the 3s.
I know Sendejo is playing pretty well but he's going to be good for at least 1 penalty a game, every game. Guy just fires like a missile at anybody he targets. That would be good a thing if he had the aim Harry does.
Unless Iloka has fallen off a cliff I would think he'd be an upgrade over Sendejo. If Zim and Rick are worried about hurting Dejo's feelings then I don't know why they signed Iloka at all.
I kind of wondered where he has been. Maybe signing him was two fold. Good back up, Division rival didn’t get him.
I am not sure what everyone is looking at. How did the eagles win last year, they got as much depth as possible to spread out workloads but also to overcome injuries. It is week 2, Iloka was primarily an insurance signing, that cost the team nothing. If we have a safety injury who do you want starting, Iloka or someone else we have on the bench. We did not snap him up as soon as he was available, a call was made 3-4 days after he was cut and things came together mostly because Iloka wanted to play for Zimmer. Most likely Iloka and if he isn't the first one in, he would likely be the next back up. He is also getting back up to speed and then we may begin to use him a little bit more in specific packages. Zimmer clearly stated his safeties were still the same with the Iloka signing.
Iloka is a big nickle replacement for Kearse.
Dirty Harry and the tone setting Sandejo are playing very well. Yes, I like a tone setting player on Defense. Who else is there? Harry makes a great play and still looks like he is in a trance. We need some fuckin bad ass spice especially on our defense that is loaded. Of course we don't want the stupid penalty from anyone but I love the guys that play like it might be their last game.
I would take a team of Sandejo's over a team of Barr's any day. Yes physically Barr is a beast on paper but come game time he is a kitten...no killer instinct for his size and speed. Sandejo on the other hand will knock your block off if you get in the way including collateral damage that everyone likes to talk about from years ago when he clobbered Xavier who then didn't miss a game.
Kearse has managed the big nickel role well so far, so there hasn't been a rush to get Iloka on the field. I'm sure he'll get in the mix soon. It's also just a sign of how deep the roster is in certain areas, but it's a good problem to have. I'm curious if they'll attempt a big dime formation with both Kearse and Iloka on the field?

I don't recall seeing all that much of him after that.@"pumpf" said: As much as I despise Rodgers, I will concede that he might not be the QB you want to go against when trying out some new schemes and unfamiliar players.
