Innies & Outies
Disagree on Sloter to practice squad
3rb and WR still to play out
Not certain they keep Robison over a couple of the other DE's I see being waved
Hill has to show more to make 53
Hmmm. Not sure about some of that. Injuries will play some kind of factor into it for sure.

he would be back in Denver before the ink on our cut sheet was dry.

Is the author from Denver? Only way I can see anyone predicting he is going to be cut.
I think Robison, Newman, and Sherels are all potential cuts. Not necessarily based on the now, but more on the future, as the team will want to keep a few of those younger guys around as well as maybe adding another man on the OL if help is out there.
Slotter is getting a roster spot.
I'm pulling for Boone as the RB 3.
Our OL is so $hity that we've got names that I don't know getting cut.
For all the talk going into camp about Holton Hill to see him miss out on a roster spot and get plucked might suck. Oh well there's always a pre-camp MVP that the boards can't shut up about. Guess he was this years.
Disagree on:
- Sloter - I think Siemian is more likely to be cut (though I think they keep 3).
- WR - Kendall Wright isn't certain to make this team.
- TE - I don't think we will keep all 4 if it means cutting someone like Sloter.
- LB - I think Downs makes the team ahead of Cliett.
- DB - Unsure they would waive Hill and keep Sherels.

Not sure about that. They like the kid they have now, Chad Kelly. He just got promoted to #2.

3 QBs
KW isnt a lock (and neither is Zylstra if he doesnt get on the field soon)
I see 4 TEs myself for now
agree on Downs
I dont see Sherels as a lock, Beebe and Hughes both looked like they can take PR duties and will contribute in their own facets of the non ST game. Marcus will play ball for somebody this year, just not sure its the Vikings. Hill would be kept purely as a futures type of deal, he hasnt earned the spot yet, but his athleticism is pretty remarkeable and it sounds like he is a Zim guy.

More about Lynch getting demoted IMO.

in fairness he beat out a QB that is only marginally better than you or I.... I think Sloter would be brought in as a #3 with him being able to compete with Kelly as soon as he was up to speed for the #2 spot. I just dont see him not getting a chance at a roster spot some where and Denver makes the most sense.

True....a little of both I think, but yeah.....Lynch has been really bad.
Letting BRob go is not good roster management.
Aruna, Bowers, Weatherly, Igdeignsjaiwofm, they all have 2 things in common: never done shit in the regular season and we're low round of undrafted dudes.
You keep taking lottery tickets like them late in the draft hoping one eventually pans out and saves you from eventually using a high pick to replace Griffin.
There's room on the squad for 2 of them. Why cut a leader with proven production that includes last year to keep an extra lottery ticket that may turn into something down the road?
What happens if Hunter gets hurt? You really trust one of these guys to play League Average in his spot? I sure as hell don't. And neither does Mike, or he wouldn't have driven his D-Line into the ground last year by never subbing any of these dudes in.
Brian ain't going nowhere.

I agree about Brian. He has value, and not just being able to play DE. He is a key player inside on 3rd down.
As to replacing Griffin, I think that guy is on the roster already and his name is Hunter. Too much talent there to not take over that spot IMO.

for the record... i agree, but then again I wouldnt have held him hostage in the offseason for his salary again this year. hes earned the spot and earned the money, but as we've come to learn with Rick... its not always what is right.

If Rhodes, Waynes, Alexander, and Hughes all look good, do you need Newman as a #5 CB - or do you use that roster spot for Hill, to ensure he is a Viking next year when his potential might turn into production? OTOH if Alexander is seriously injured, Newman and Hill both probably make the team.

All true and probably correct that Robison remains this year. But Zimmer needs to start phasing him out and rotating some of the younger guys in, THIS YEAR, to find out if any of them can play - or if we need to draft a DE #1 next spring.
The three vets that are "on the bubble" are Robison, Newman and Sherels. Love all three of those guys.
--I think Robison is safest -- he's valuable for both what he can (still) do on the field and what he brings to the locker room.
--Sherels is just simply solid in his role. But can someone else do it? Mostly a roster decision, IMO.
--Newman is more valuable as a coach than a player at this point. Veteran experience can play faster than youthful speed. But Father Time gets us all. I feel like he'll make the team, but they're really working around him at this point.
One other plus on Robisons corner is the uncertainty with Griff, is the foot good to go? What's up with this leg injury? Could easily kick Hunter to the RDE and insert BROB and see minimal drop off.
