Wow, that was great.  He just looks so much faster than any other Viking RB I've ever seen.  That's what a HOF RB looks like folks.

An absolutely amazing runner of the football. Tilted the field as much as any RB I've ever seen.

The "Hate Crime" wasn't a run...

But oh so special.  His ability to bounce a run outside and destroy they angles on the d were amazing.  So many defenders misjudged their speed versus his.

Interestingly enough, his best run against Cinci was kind of an anomaly.  Not that special IMO, hmm wonder why.

Love the extra highlights of the run against GB.  ANd I was at that Seattle game for that run.  Lost my mind on that.

Such a shame they couldn't surround him with a gifted QB...Would have been a challenge for any OC cause the guy wasnt a 3 down back, but it would have been nice to see more of 09 during his career.

AP had 4 seasons where he was able to play all 16 games. 2009 was one of those.
During the other 3 seasons he ended them with more attempts and  higher yards per attempt.
1383 yards is not that impressive for the highest paid RB.
It was also his 2nd highest fumbles season.

Granted he did get a bunch of 1-2 yard TDs. (10)
He had 38 runs of 10+ yards (3 TDs)

746 (54%) of his 1383 yards came from 38 (12% ) of his attempts
Meaning he averaged 2.3 yards for the other 88% or276 attempts.
17 attempts out of an average of 19 per game he gained a whopping 38 yards.

Regardless of how, he still is close to a top 10 of all time and HOF worthy. Not sure you are arguing otherwise though.  These are interesting statistics and as a fan who watch him his whole career, I'm not surprised.

Wonder how this would compare to a Payton, Sweetness or even Earl Campbell or Franco Harris?

It's a shame that it looked like 1/2 of these highlights he's taking the hand off from some guy wearing #7.  It's curious that his greatest "run" against Pittsburgh was actually a pass from a guy in #4. Or maybe just a coincidence.  I might have to watch again and count how many different #s I see handing it to him. It seems to me he didn't waste us we wasted his prime. He didn't hold us back in his prime because nobody could hold him back even  dedicating 8 or 9 guys, because they could, to doing it.  Jeez the added extras against GB with Joe Schmuck. Whine about poor tackling all you want. He made all tackling poor in his prime.
