Wait what? Just don't touch certain qbs I guess
Guy was out of the pocket (which you DONT want to have happen with that turd)
Barr was within two steps of the crybaby.
The same hit on Winston a couple weeks before didn't break a collarbone, and wasn't a penalty.
A. Rod is a Prima Donna pussy.
I say tee off on his ass
I'll take the fifteen yards
every time
At least when Favre was hit by Randle, he didn't whine like a little bitch. Rogers can drink outta my ass.
....er.....I mean...."I Don't Care"
then maybe the QBs shouldnt hold the fucking ball until the last second and then let it go. if this is enforced I may quit watching football. if defenders arent allowed to finish in a reasonable area then the game should just become 2 hand touch and fuck the league.
What a joke... good luck being a defender in today's NFL.
Told ya that cryass wants a wall around him at all times regardless of where he is on the field
So this is interesting...
"If you roll out and get set up, you're still a passer," Morelli said. "But if you're rolling out and throwing and a guy's chasing you and tackles you, you're not defenseless. They get two steps and they can tackle you. Becoming defenseless is setting up again outside the pocket."
So maybe my recollection is wrong, but didn't Rodgers throw as he was still rolling out of the pocket? I don't recall him stopping to "set up" and throw the pass.

He would argue he was "set up"...
What a bunch of shit. Make it more subjective so the refs don't know and have to make a judgment call and will favor certain players.
It's kinda easy to which teams are going to benefit from handicapping the defenses even more.
Hopefully Kirk, Adam, Diggs and Cook can make us one of them.

Rodgers broke his own damn collarbone when he tried to brace his fall w/ his arm, fuck that pussy! ;) B) :p
I guarantee you that this rule will not apply to any Minnesota Vikings QB. Book it.
I guess since Brady got a rule, Rodgers is butt hurt and trying to get one for himself.
Ok... I'm rewatching the Barr hit and I'm failing to see where Rodgers is "set up" to throw. He's rolling out and throws while he's on the run...

He never stops and sets his feet to throw so he shouldn't be defenseless per Morelli's explanation above.

Not exactly dropping his full weight on him either. :s

That is football. If a QB can run around and burn teams making plays with his legs, then he has to pay the price on a play like this. Awesome!
He's throwing on the run.
No way that's a penalty. he's not "setting up"
(If he HAD set up, he'd be in a goddamn wheelchair drinking grape crush from an IV the rest of his life)
once youre out out of the pocket you have to treat the QB as a runner.
It was a good "no call" then, and no way should the rules be changed to reflect that pussy Rogers. You put on the pads, and it's war dumbass.
This was NOT Charles Martin hit on Jim McMahon in 1986.
lets make that perfectly clear.
Hate the F'king Packers
It's all over local talk radio right now... I still don't know how the Barr hit is a penalty now.
The only thing in the new rule and interpretations I've read is maybe one could argue he put "all or most of his weight" on top of the QB when he took him down. But that's debatable IMO.
Somewhere Aaron Rodgers and Ryan Braun probably high fived and yelled VINDICATED. Douches.
Rodgers reminds me of a kid on the playground who gets pissed and pitches a fit when the rest of the kids on the playground don't let him win. Next I expect him to demand a rule where QBs cannot be tackled at all...except he'd make the rest of the league exempt from that rule.
I would love to see a referee debate at what point tey determined e was setting up for a throw---all I see is a POS rolling out and throwing at the las tsecond no stopping or setting up.
I think everyone needs to calm down and realize that the NFL is in the entertainment business.
The only reason Morelli said it would be called a penalty was to get attention. Nobody actually believes that should have been or should be a penalty. This is the IRL version of clickbait by the NFL.
