Read a similar thing about Bucky Hodges, who was supposed to be this hidden athletic gem. Would love to see it from Conklin but I think he'll need some time.

Conklin is 4 inches shorter than Rudolph and not any faster.  He'll make the roster simply because we don't have a 3rd TE that I know of, but as for making any on-field impact I'm not holding my breath.

I think the Conklin pick is a direct reaction to the Hodges pick.

Hodges was a height weight speed guy who struggled with routes, hands and blocking. I get the feeling his name popped up a lot in the Vikings analytics. 

Conklin's the opposite. Not as tall as you'd like, or as fast, but he catches everything and he can block.
