It's sad, it should be "Rice" or "2-minute" or "miracle at the met," but "drunk" is the first thing that came to my mind as well.

I do. Another side note. I got a Joey Browner jersey from that era. The one in the picture is the 25th anniversary 1985 jersey. I got mine in 86 or 87.
That was my favorite uniform style. Especially the away jersey. Clean & simple.

It is sad really. He did a great job for us. Coming in behind a legend and all. He was a great 2 minute QB. I loved him as a player. Unfortunately I was asked 1st word that comes to mind. His reputation will proceed him to many of us it seems.

I have that 25th Ann. patch too....I put it on an away TARKENTON.....with MY last name on the back.......YEAH I know.....
but in the old, old, old days many put THEIR last name on a jersey.So I have an "away #10, with 25th Ann. Patch and HOCKING" on the back.
Im sure I'll hear about it, but a long time ago putting YOUR name on a players jersey was all the rage. (At least in so. CA)

Oh, and for all his 2-minute heroics, his Vikings career passer rating is below Tarvaris Jackson's. Guy was frequently the biggest reason he had to come from behind in the first place.

I guess...1986 he was NFL passing leader. Remind me what year TJack did that. Both had long careers. One as a started. The other a guy you hope you don't need to use.
TJ - 39 career tds 7200 yards.
TK - 159 tds 24, 700 yards.
