Up until a few years ago, this would have been mine, too. But since AD morphed into such a colossal douche-bag his last few years with the team, I gotta bump him in favor of Tarkenton, although ol' Frannie ranks pretty high on the DB scale, himself.

Agreed on the SB victory, but only for Zimmer. That 1 win would automatically place him ahead of Bud, no doubt about it. The Wilf's have quadrupled their investment in the Vikings in @ 12 years. That's reward enough.

Thing is, I don't even remember Tarkenton playing.. I was 8 when he retired.  But he's the guy that first made the Vikings relevant, both on the field and getting them national attention with his highlight-reel scrambles.

LOL... I'll give you 3 of 4, and Mike Lynn, but Herschel doesn't deserve that.  He was an I-formation runner traded to a Vikings team that thought I formation was what you read on the wall at the optometrist.
