A very touching story...it really brings light to the work that's involved in creating jerseys and other athletic wear the team uses. I really took all that for granted but hearing Penny's story is so interesting. I'm glad the team chose to honor her as she prepares to retire after 49 years of service. :)
A really fun read. I especially like the part where she talks about watching Mike Hughes wear 10 and 19 in college - she couldnt give him either one so she gave him 21.
I cant tell if thats a mastery of deadpan humor or some serious insight of "how" numbers are given to Viking players! Either way, fun to read about what she has done for our franchise.
A fun & interesting story. Oh, the memories she must have. I can just imagine.
these are the types of stories I like. I would love it if Dennis Ryan were to write a book about his time as equipment manager and the wierd shit he's seen and dealt with.
