They draft a QB some say as the heir apparent and all of a sudden ben thinks he'll keep cashing checks 3-5 years.   Just 2 years ago he considered retirement and now he'd like an extension

I was thinking the same thing...he may play 3-5 more years.  It won't be in the black & yella.
