How are our former QBs post-draft?
Sam Bradford: His new team sent two extra picks to Oakland to move up to draft Josh Rosen, who says he is going to make the 9 teams who passed him by regret it. Is Bradford unhappy, as he was when the Eagles drafted Carson Wentz? Do the Cardinals wish they could have given Sam a half-year deal??
Teddy Bridgewater: His new team sent three extra picks to the Colts to move up to get Sam Darnold. Josh McCown is going to be the season-opening starter, Darnold is the future, and Bridgewater will compete with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg for the #3 job.
Case Keenum: The Broncos did not draft any QBs.
Think any of these guys regret where they signed? Or didn't have alternatives? Any bets on who will be first to change teams or be available again?
considering the QB mess that is elways broncos... I know how the draft makes it look, but its elways broncos.... if I was Case I wouldnt feel any more comfortable than the other 2 would. I have my doubts now that Teddy even makes the roster in NY.
Teddy will be the first looking. Petty will be cut, Teddy is just low coverage insurance. Hackenberg has the best opportunity to be the third qb.
Im gonna go out on a limb and guess Sam starts the year, is injured, replaced & traded

That would be a surprise if they could trade him - but teams do seem to never tire of Bradford so it's possible!
How about this for a daring Bradford prediction: Next March, some team will give him another $15M or more...
@"Maple Surple" said: Im gonna go out on a limb and guess Sam starts the year, is injured, replaced & tradedYeah but that one game he gives them will be a doozy. He is talented, smart, and willing to take a hit. His knees always fail him, but his arm keeps getting him one more big contract.
I wish Teddy luck but I have no confidence that he is fully healed, meaning, healed to the point needed to play in the NFL. My guess is he gets cut. That’s ok. Come to Miami. Your hometown team needs a QB.
With the OL in AZ Sam probably won't make it to game one and Case might find things tough in Denver with that OL and dysfunction.
Not sure what to think about Teddy, they led people to believe he was very nearly 100% but now say there is more going on. I don't doubt if he was healthy he would push for playing time at least early on while the top pick gets up to speed.
Teddy needed a miracle to fully heal after the catastrophic knee injury. It's sounding more and more like he didn't get it. Josh Sweat suffered a similar injury in high school. 4 years later he can't practice every day. I think that's the sort of thing Teddy has in store.
Still amazed we jettisoned 3 qb's. 3! The seemingly endlessly starved for a QB Vikings of all teams.
Ballsy move by the GM to do that and go for Cousins. WOW.
Has there ever been a better poster child for that old saying when you have more than one qb?
Of the 3 Case imo has the best chance to stick and get success. Sam should never complain again with the $$ he's earned. Maybe he can borrow Bridgewater a few bucks in a year or two.
What a shame what happened to Teddy. Very sad indeed.

If Bridgewater is cut by the Jets because he isn't healthy enough to play or practice, is he really going to get another shot anywhere?
I've read comments by Bridgewater that his injury was a message from god or something. Well...if your knee collapses on a football field, shouldn't you assume that if any message is being sent to you it's something along the lines of, "Stop playing football"??

It won't cost them much and he actually has real NFL game experience and he did pretty well.
“Yeah, he’s actually out here throwing right now in our Phase 2 stuff today. And doing a nice job,” Jets GM Maccagnan told WFAN on Tuesday. “We have a plan for him just from a recovery or rehab standpoint. But he’s doing quite well.”
You should take Maccagnan’s assessment with a grain of salt given that Phase 2 is little more than players playing pitch and catch without helmets.
If Teddy somehow achieves the nearly impossible feat of proving he's healthy but losing out in a numbers game in NY, it would not surprise me to see him back in Minnesota as a backup in '19. Siemian's on a one year deal. Ideally, you'd like to see Sloter ready to be a QB2 in '19.
We're all a little overly optimistic about our teams this time of year, but Denver radio is overdoing it a bit.
Guy on the radio this morning tried to make the argument that Case Keenum was the reason we went to the NFCC. Keenum whipped our sorry team of ne're-do-wells into a contender. The middling supporting cast became superstars because...Case, and not the other way around. HE was responsible for Rudy's resurgence and the emergence of Thielen and Diggs...that they were nobodies before Him. That this was an 8-8 team before Case came into our lives and gave us eternal life.
I'm not even exaggerating. My goodness, the only thing missing was the manger and the three wise men. For Case is the way, the truth and the life...and no man cometh to the Lombardi but by Him.
