Someone will probably suggest a Treadwell-for-Flowers trade, but Shurmur knows all about Treadwell and already tried to make him produce.
I thought Flowers was a better fit at RT than LT so it's tempting to wonder if Flowers could help us at RT, but if he's mad about being replaced at LT by Nate Solder, why would he switch to RT for us? That article also doesn't mention his team needs to decide whether to pick up his 5th year option for 2019 - a Kalil-esque $12M+.
He was the 9th pick - 2 spots before Waynes. That's about a $3.5M difference in the 5th year option. He is young and I don't think he is a bad player. He has talent, but he's not an NFL LT. The most I would give for him is a 5th. Put him at RT for a year then let him go in FA and get a comp pick in return.
