The Vikings are not opening the 2018 season against the Eagles,
"Take a deep breath, Vikings fans. The Vikings are not opening the 2018 season against the Eagles, after all.
A radio report a few weeks back said the season opener would be a rematch of the NFC Championship Game, in which the Eagles trounced the Vikings en route to the Super Bowl LII title."
Take a deep breath??? What's that mean? are we supposed to be afraid to play the Eagles or something?? F*** that noise....

What? Damn. It made perfect sense. We need that game early. Opening day would've been perfect.
I dunno
We can talk smack, but can’t help think week 5 is better than a home opener, raising the banner game on day 1 of our new Offense
Sure the Vikes want revenge, but it can wait

And a few weeks to expose Foles' weaknesses.
The Vikings should have all the motivation they need to win that Eagles game...as if the embarrassment that was the NFCC game isn't enough, it's Zim's chance to redeem himself against this team who he's lost to twice and Flip should coach him up in that regard. This is Flip's homecoming, so you know it'll be important to him. Cousins should want to go in there and show Vikings fans and the team that they're going to be serious competition for the Eagles moving forward.
I always remember the beginning of the Vikings 2010 season when opened the season against the Saints after loosing in the NFC title game. I thought they would be motivated and win that game too.
I like the idea of giving Cousins ans the new offense a little bit of time to gel before this game.
If you open against them and they win becaus the offense is still getting its shit together, everyone just says “See, the Vikings suck!”
Why does the game have to be in Philly? We need more full beer cans thrown at women and children just to confirm the jackasserie of their fandom?
Igflea somehow got Kolb two play his best two games of his life when it counted hell they should been flagged for Def holding or pi against the Falcons super easy call to make but not made by a ref but I can see both sides in not making the call but Jones was mocked to the ground before getting up and missing the ball easy illegal contact or holding because it was further than 5 yards from scrimmage changes everything for the Vikings and patriots

SF is one of my NFC dark-horse teams to do a fast turn around. That is a tough schedule on paper. Going to GB for what might be their season opener with Rogers back wont be easy either. Even in our best years we typically split with The Pack.

Yeah, and I still have nightmares about our season opener against them a few years ago. 2nd game of a Monday Night double bill. That was one of the all time worst coaching performances this team has turned in. Right up there with 41-0 and last year's NFCC.
