Vinny Curry - DL - Free AgentEagles released DE Vinny Curry.
The move was time-sensitive as $5 million of Curry's $9 million base salary would have been guaranteed on Sunday. The Eagles tried convincing Curry to accept a pay cut but the two sides could never reach a compromise. Curry probably saw the writing on the wall after Philadelphia acquired Michael Bennett from Seattle earlier this month. The 29-year-old dominated last year, earning PFF's No. 10 grade among 4-3 defensive ends. He should attract widespread interest on the open market.Related: Eagles
Would love to add to the OL, but if there's an opportunity to improve DL depth and rotation, especially after seeing our pass rush become ineffective with Griffen banged up...add some Curry spice...

At what cost?  Do you give up on promising young guys currently in the rotation?  Do you cut Bower or Odinegbo for a guy who might be here a year?  We must have those cheap guys too or we won't be able to keep our studs.

I think All Vowels and Bower can marinate another year on the PS by adding an insurance policy that our pass rush doesn't tank...

Vinny Curry quickly lands in TampaThe Eagles decided that $9 million in 2018 would be too much for defensive end Vinny Curry. The Buccaneers quickly gobbled him up.
