Not hearing much and it is getting late in the day.  He has been in Minnesota about 24 hours now and this is the time when we either hear a deal is done or Elvis has left the building.

The latest from Jon Krawczynski, who is dialed in to the Vikings, said the team is very optimistic that the deal is going to get done...although it wasn't done 'yet'.

Word is he's STILL there at 2:30 pm central time. I mean, it sure APPEARS this thing is going to happen at this point. Nothing official and I guess its not done until he signs, but....

Keep in mind: this may be the TOP non-QB free agent available. Its a big deal.

It's too close to let it get away now. This would be an epic signing and probably make us Super Bowl favorites. Time to step up and seal the deal.

wast TJ housmanzadah here for like 2.5 days and then left without signing?  until their herbie hancock is on the bottom line I dont think anything is "likely".

Albert Breer just said Richardson is taking a physical at the facilities. Looks like this might be damn close to happening.

I suppose we will sign a young tackle stud in the draft and train him up for 2019 and a lot less money.

    Doubtful. They already spent a 4th on Jaleel Johnson and while this Class is loaded with run-stuffing DTs none of them have demonstrated an ability to consistently generate a pass rush.

    Kudos to Rick. JJ gets another year with Patterson to develop while Sheldon gets a chance to prove he's worth a big long-term deal and maybe decides he wants to stay, though I think in the end he's more about the money than anything else. Which is fine given what NFL Players endure physically and mentally before and after their careers.

    Some context on Sheldon Richardson: Vikings were perceived underdog for Sheldon, but they went all in to sell him on their team and his place on it. Very loving recruitment by the organization.

    He decided to bet on himself with 1-year deal and go to a team that badly wanted him.

    Vikings knew how to recruit Sheldon Richardson. Picked him up on private plane Thursday, then had him have lunch with new QB Kirk Cousins before either had even signed with Minnesota. 4:15 PM - Mar 16, 2018
