Tyrann Mathieau ...

From yesterday...seems a "resolution" was indeed arrived at! ;)

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports the Cardinals are "making positive strides" in talks to restructure Tyrann Mathieu's contract.
Mathieu was asked to take a pay cut last week, which he understandably balked at, but it seems the sides are working on a compromise. A resolution should come soon as the 25-year-old is due a $5 million roster bonus on Wednesday. Mathieu's play declined somewhat last year while battling injuries but he remains an integral part of the Cardinals' secondary. Mar 13 - 3:36 PM

Don't we already have Harrison Smith?  Mathieu is a good player, but we already got a premium version of that swiss army knife

I'm not sure we are still in the market for such a high priced FA at this point.  My guess is we will sit back for a while, maybe re-sign some of our own guys, and otherwise wait until the money has mostly dried up.

Don't we already have Harrison Smith?  Mathieu is a good player, but we already got a premium version of that swiss army knife

He can play nickel CB...  I think he'd be a great fit there and has the versatility to slide back to safety.

Unfortunately, I think some team offers him more than the Vikings.
