Why is he not a fit?
Not a ZBS guy that can pull and get to the second level. Frankly, that's why the FA OG with the Panthers is also not a great fit.
Sort of like signing a Cover 2 CB and asking him to play man. Not his best use and the learning curve would be steep.
At #30 Rick should be able to find someone with comparable talent that fits the scheme. Still a lot of good O-Line prospects that should be on the board even with what happened to Price.

The Vikings run a stretch zone blocking scheme and need interior lineman that can get to the second level quickly and work in space. Hernandez isn't that guy. He can get to the 2nd level but he is much better working man to man in a phone booth.
