I Feel So Bad For BRob!! I really do!!

Welcome aboard....picked kinda down time to join us & commiserate. 

Vanguard83, I'm 51 and i was so disappointed in this game. I've been through all the heartache that my Vikings have offered throughout the years, but I'm a Minnesotan and a Viking forever, regardless!! We'll get there someday!! I may not be alive when it happens, but it will happen for our future Minnesota Vikings fans someday. Just seeing the hurt on BRobs face was enough for me. I just hope he comes back next year, i really do....

Yep, I said the same thing to my son...  I really wanted BRob to have a chance to play in a Super Bowl.  Jared Allen got his chance after he left the team.... I was really hoping this year BRob would get his chance. IT Sucks.  I hope he comes back next year but understand if he doesn’t.  

Yeah I'm 52 next month, so we share the same scars.

believe it or not being here helps....no one really "gets" being a Vikings fan...like Vikings fans.
Hope we indeed get BRob back, hope the club takes care of him and lets him finish out his career with us.

Vanguard 83, I follow this board and "The Purple Thoughts" board and the other board has some real jerks on it!! I don't like that board & decided to register here because most people seem civil, most people that is!! lol!! My Vikings may get me frustrated at times, but I'll love them until the end. They are my team, regardless of the outcome..:)

Yeah "purplefaithful" i did pick a hell of a night didn't i ?? My point is no matter how happy i am with this team or how frustrated i get with this team, I'll always love them!! They are a part of me as a Minnesotan and i wouldn't have it any other way!! Did i like the outcome of tonight? Hell no!!! You should of seen the "F" bombs i was yelling!!! lol!!....But in the end, this is my team!! People seem to forget of the proud history that we do have!

I think most here abandoned PT at one time or another. Myself, Sass, Greed, Bash, lots included.  You'll like it here, Tom does a great job with exclusive stuff, and Geoff's insight into the draft is unmatched....so don't be shy about posting, we all want the same thing, we may just believe in a different path to get there.

I’m too bitter to feel bad for the players. They played like shit. 

I don't feel sorry for Brian.  He has been able to play 11 years with one team, in a league where most guys play 2.8 years and bounce around.

He has gotten to play in 2 NFC Championship games, and did his job in both. He can't block (well, maybe he can we just have never tried him there), he doesn't call the game plan, and he doesn't draft the players.

I'm sure he is disappointed, but when he gets home, he will realize he has a great family, wonderful children, and a bass fishing boat that starts every time.  For a man in his early to mid 30s, he's living a pretty good life and has nothing to be ashamed of.  He did all he could, but it is a 53 man game.

This too shall pass, and the ship will sail again.  It's just going to take some time.

I understand the "feeling", but honestly I feel bad for the fans.  When it's all said and done everyone of those players have a significant step up on the fans.  from millions of dollars per game to thousands per game.  Their pain is offset by that.  For fans, they pay to be hurt.

nah,  those guys hurt just like us fans,  maybe more,  yes they get compensated to play the game,  but its their life long dream and to get so close and miss out.. thats more than something that goes away with a pay check,  and if there was a guy that feels that way,  he likely signed some where else like carolina.  these guys didnt start playing football because they wanted a pay check,  they did it to see themselves someday hoisting a lombardi of their own.

Welcome aboard MNWILD.  I'm another 50ish fan...58 this year.  I also been following the Viking for many, many years and endured the disappointments.  But, every year I come back with the same high hopes for the team.

One pays to be disappointed, one gets paid to be disappointed.  One dreams of hoisting a trophy, one dreams of their team hoisting  a trophy.  One has the talent to get paid, and hoist a trophy, one wishes they could and lives through the former.  One gets paid to play a game they love, one pays to watch a game they love.  

Welcome aboard the Longship MNWild. I feel bad for Brian and Pops. He is such a good guy and he was busting his hump as he always does. He is so classy and makes me proud as a fan of this team. It was a brutal game. Hope Pops made it out of Philly ok.

welcome aboard wild---I love this team deeply but can't wrap my head around how we can get so dominated in the postseason.  My heart goes out to the ones that generally seem  to be playing as if it could be there last game.  Time stands still for no one
