Giants expected to hire Pat Shurmur as head coach

Big Blue is close to hiring its next head coach.

The New York Giants are expected to hire Pat Shurmur as the franchise's next head coach, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.

With the anticipated hire, Shurmur will be undertaking his second
head coaching position in his career. Shurmur previously served as the
head coach of the Cleveland Browns from 2011-2012, compiling a 9-23 record in that time. He also served as interim head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015 after Chip Kelly was fired, going 1-0 in his lone game.
