I don't know what is the bigger farce, Triplette being considered an "All Star Official" or the fact the NFL in their infinite wisdom decides to put these so called all star officiating crews together for the MOST IMPORTANT GAMES OF THE FUCKING YEAR...can someone explain to me how it makes any logical sense to put a crew together who have never officiated a game as a unit? Lunacy...
Triplette doesn't have a good reputation amongst the media and NFL teams. And the ridiculous amount of time it took Hochuli in the Falcons-Rams game early on an OBVIOUS review call was mind blowing. Al Michaels was just ragging on it, as he should.
Sidenote: can the refs be any older? I thought Triplette might not survive the game, he appeared winded and almost physically pained to be out there. Some of these refs are in their mid-60s. Is that optimal for a fast paced game like the NFL?
Watching college games I think...wow these officials are a Hell of a lot better than NFL officials. Younger? Not betting on the outcome? Not trying to keep games close for the viewing audience? What's the deal?
the crew for the chiefs game was awful. in no way should those calls be getting missed. its sad. keep the best crews together, not make-shoft crews trying to figure it out in the biggest games.

I would have been more surprised if the NFL didn't F-up a decision like officiating in post-season.
