Better Pizza, Better Ingredients, Better Not Bite The Multi-Billion Hand That Feeds You
i have no issue with his politics or his statements regarding the kneeling, but that pizza sucks.

He's definitely entitled to his opinion and the consequences of it...just like Kaep...with so many good local places, couldn't tell you if his pizza sucked or not, but that is the consensus...

Exactly.I would choose a Tony's frozen pizza over pizza hut, dominoes, papa johns, little caesars etc.
Local places are so much better.

I don't know how people eat that crap. I absolutely agree on the local places, we have some great ones that I enjoy.
Thread hijacking but we ARE talking about Pizza.
I miss Carbones and Divanis. Ive lived all over the US and ate pizza everywhere. Still my favorite pies.
Also, the midwest is the only place i have found that offers green olives on pizza.
Duck, Duck, Green Olives !
Too funny
I just had a flashback to Shakeys !

Not nearly enough pizza joints use them though, even in the midwest, pretty much has to be a mom and pop or a local chain like pizza ranch.
I agree on local being better than chain, but that isn't always true so when traveling sometimes it's just easier to grab a pie from a chain...just no papa johns, pizza hut or little caesars.

Man, I loved Shakey's in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan growing up. Mojos. Good pizza.
There are still Shakeys franchises out there operating, I think mostly in California? Local pizza and subs are always the way to go, I can't comprehend that people eat Subway subs: its tasteless garbage. And Little Caesars pizza is the WORST. Sidenote: you'd shit a brick if you knew how much oil goes into a pizza crust say from Pizza Hut. Its so bad for you.

When we lived in Hawaii my wife managed a California Pizza Kitchen. I enjoy their pizza but it isnt close to a Carbones.
They didnt have green olives for their pizza either but I was sitting at their bar ordering.... Any bar has green olives. People thought I was crazy. This is a plce that puts artichokes and whatever else on pizza and they think green olives are strange.
The saltiness is like anchovies minus the fish flavor. The brine adds something better.
I find it funny that when a person from the right has his opinion, he is always the bad guy, but when people like Michael Moore, Ashley Judd, Rosie O'Donnell etc spew their opinions, they are applauded....

he can respond to what ever he wants, i was just curious as to his position on green olives as the thread had kind of headed that way.FYI... i normally dont like pepperoni (typically to greasy) ... but with sliced green olives they are awesome....
as far as the direction of the original post... I see this one destined for the sensitive board but thats up to others to decide. its my Christmas with the kranks ( my family) so you all play nice and I will see ya later.
I was thinking pepperoni, sausage, green olives, and onions. With a little mushroom perhaps.
@"JimmyinSD" said:I have not, i am more of a pepperoni, sausage, chicken, peppers, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, etc type of pizza guy.@"Sir Viking Bob VWO" said: I find it funny that when a person from the right has his opinion, he is always the bad guy, but when people like Michael Moore, Ashley Judd, Rosie O'Donnell etc spew their opinions, they are applauded.... what do you think about green olives on pizza Bob? ever tried them on a pie?
All chain pizza sucks, but Papa John’s is one of the worst.

Oh man...That's memories!
We used to go every Friday night and my mom (rest her soul) had green & black olives on her pizza! I can still taste their pizza to this day.
On another note, Subway is ending it's $5 footlong saying its losing $$ on each one.
This summer I took my kids into a Pizza Hut after my son's little league baseball game. I hate Pizza Hut pizza almost as much as the sludge you get at Schnatter's shit hole. But for me, it was more about nostalgia. This is what we did when I was in little league. Arcade games, big red plastic cups and pitchers of soda! It sounded great!
We go in and, except for the robots making pizza, there's not a soul in the place. Tables are dirty and wobbly. Chairs are the stackable kind you'd find in a junior high assembly. No booths, no arcade games.
...and we still had terrible pizza to look forward to.
