Going to be interesting offseason for sure. Hell, they always are in Viking land.
Still many chapters to write this season, and don't we all like happy endings lol? Maybe things become crystal clear for Trader Rick??
Transition tag would give the vikes the right to match any contract but no compensation if they decide not to match. Players don't like it because it also tends to discourage other teams from negotiating contracts because they know thry might be doing the job for the original team. I don't know if that disincentive would work for QBs.
You could also agree to take a draft pick from the other team in exchange for not matching the contract. Then sign Teddy (or Sam).
I'm going to guess they know what direction they want to take, but it can wait until after the Superbowl celebration.
