Vikings’ Kevin McDermott could return for playoffs, Justin Drescher to work out
Vikings long snapper Kevin McDermott, who dislocated his left shoulder in Saturday night’s game at Green Bay, could return for the playoffs.
A source said Sunday that McDermott likely will miss next Sunday’s regular-season finale against Chicago at U.S. Bank Stadium, but there is optimism for games after that. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said the team will bring in long snappers to work out Tuesday, and a source said one will be veteran free agent Justin Drescher.
Drescher played for New Orleans from 2010-16 and was with Arizona for eight games this season before being released earlier this month.
