Injuries made that one of the worst Packer teams I have seen in a long, long while.

Their DL played our run well, not a great night for the Vikings O, but they played well enough to win. I thought Shurmur could have went after a decimated secondary more than he did. We'll need to do better than that in the playoffs.

I didnt think it was a great night for our DL - not a very good rush on Hundley and then you could almost see them need to shift to contain vs sack when he was making some big runs. I dont think EG is near 100% from that plantar fascia, Bakhtiari man-handled him well tonight.

Wait, we got a shut-out right lol!

We also know divisional games can get fugly, especially when it's cold weather and shitty field, on the road. Lamblow is a tough place to play.

That was a Zimmer type game if I've ever seen one.

Onward we go...Bring on da bears.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Dayum, just read about Easton. That really puts a damper on this.

The way guys were slipping and falling down, some routes would have been dangerous to throw.  It was smart doing the ground and pound as much as we did, even though that wasn't terribly effective.  Case took plenty of deep shots tonight, it's the timing was off fractionally.  After playing in these conditions tonight, if we have to go to Philly, the guys will be ready for it.  This was Case's first ever game in these conditions as well.  I'm sure he learned a bit about how the cold effects everything.

Was kinda miffed we blew the shutout last week...24 years is a LONG time to wait for a shutout....

71 was the last shoutout vs Pack. I think 93 against anyone. I went back and watched some of keenum again and I dont think he played well..  left 2,3 key throws during the game that could have made a big diffference   a good secondryy may have had some picks on him too.. he will have to play much better for us to get to a handful of playoff wins...

otoh, Morgan wa spectacular lol!

Case isn't losing the games for the defense,  but I still think we will need to see more in the next month if we are going to make some noise in the playoffs.

He didn't have experience throwing in  cold weather so it's probably good that he didn't try and force things but he certainly left points on the field last night.

Of course timing was off trying to throw down field with that slop--players weren't able to replicate practice speed to the cowpasture conditions

I don't think people realize how much bad weather is a big equalizer in sports...  the cold definitely had an effect on the game.  Did everyone forget the Vikings playoff game against Seattle just two years ago?  Brutally cold and neither offense did much...  That's not a coincidence.  Guys are cold, can't run as fast, everything is just a bit "off".

Credit to the Vikings for showing they were the superior team and upstaging an "outdoor team" on their own turf in cold weather.

This team just keeps checking off boxes...  Only a handful left for Zimmer and company.

BOOM

Kudos to Keenum for playing a smart game for his first time in the cold. I truly believe the cold was a factor. Also give credit to Coach Zimmer for the practices outside, that was helpful. I thought it would be a low scoring and ugly game and it was.
