Be honest. The team is currently the #2 seed in the NFC and winnable games in front of them, 2 at home. Still solid? How are you going to feel if, God forbid, they lose to Cincy at home?

Not looking for fan bravado. Just wondering what your gut is telling you. I think personally, things are fine.....but I get that peeps might be privately a tad nervous. I can admit that there's a very small seed of concern down there for me, however.

Worried, absolutely not. But it is very important to beat Cincinnati. The best way to forget a loss is to turn around the next week and put forth a solid winning performance. Winning three straight games on the road against teams above .500 shouldn't have become the expectation. If the team performs this weekend at home (they'll be excited to be in front of their fans) everyone will completely forget last weekend.

I'd feel a lot more confident with Teddy under center, but regardless of who's QB, at this point, our success or failure is mostly just a matter of luck.,ie, getting and staying healthy, because there isn't a team in the NFL we can't beat.
When all is set and done the NFL is 1/2 skill and 1/2 a war of attrition.

But this is different.  The team made so many mistakes, penalties, drops and yet still fought to the end.  I am not worried about the team.

The NFL and their packer love on the other hand...

I am with Greed.  we fought hard and still could have won if we ha got the go ahead TD rather than a tie field goal.  i think the team is read to take it out on Cincy.

Not to get all "self-help" on ya'll, but there is a school of thought that says if you want to achieve something you need merely want it, visualize it, believe sincerely it will happen, and it just might. The idea is that you put the goal into the universe and the universe realigns itself to make it happen. Now, I think this sort of thing is mostly bullshit (Kate Upton has yet to show up at my door), but I've often said that if you could bottle that thing which makes players "hot" you could make billions. Well maybe it's this? Maybe it's the idea that players on hot streaks (basketball shooters, batters, QBs, etc) have an easier time visualizing success (3-pointers, perfectly thrown deep outs, doubles down the line) because they've already experienced so much of it. And if this is true, then the converse must also be true. It might explain players who go through slumps. And so ya never know what the impact might be of millions of fans around the country simultaneously expecting the worst out of their favorite team. So knock it the hell off a'ready. :-)

Los Angeles Rams: 89.1 percent

What happened to the Steelers? I thought they were the only team to clinch a spot. Maybe NE did, too.
As for the Vikings, I'm not worried. But I would be feeling better if we had won at Carolina. But so long as we take care of business against Cinci, I will be looking forward to ending GB's season next week.

The Eagles and Steelers have already clinched a playoff spot, so there are no odds of it happening.  The Patriots haven't officially clinched, so there are odds.

After beating the Falcons in Atlanta, I was saying this team was a Superbowl quality team.  Then, I watched the Falcon - NO game last Thursday.  Hoo Boy, Atlanta really is not very good this year and that put the Viking victory into perspective.  I've come back down to earth.

This is a good team, but probably a notch below the elite teams in the league.

I'm "okay" at the moment.  I too will freak out if they lose to Cinci.  I may have jinxed them but all of my answers for the Velspar are in line with them completely destroying the Bengals.  The #32 ranked offense and middle-of-the-pack defense should not be able to come into USB and make it a struggle... IF this Vikings team really is one of the best in the league.  I NEED them to lock up the division before going to Green Bay.

No change in my overall feeling about our chances of winning it all.  They looked flat for whatever reason.  It may happen again this season, this post season, or not for another 8 games.  I always knew it was a possibility, but if I could explain it beyond that, I'd be making multimillions as a self-help guru.  Otherwise, I'm certain there is no game we can lose before it's actually played.  Maybe there are some teams we couldn't beat 3 out of 3, but even against the best teams, we can take at least 1 of 3.  So I'm still certain we'll get the NFCN crown and until we lose in the playoffs, and until we lose in the playoffs, I'll be glad the hope still lives.

Also, unlike 1998 or 2009, I don't feel we're on borrowed time.  I think 2018 will be just as exciting if not more so. Especially since I respect Zimmer as a HC much more than Denny "You mean I also have to beat coaches that have made the playoffs before this year?" Green or Brad "I hope Andy Reid never realizes those pictures are photoshopped" Childress.

Yeah, I suck at succinct nicknames.

What???  Matt Ryan had a bad game, but the Falcons still WON the game against the 9-3 (now 9-4) Saints...

So by that logic, you must not be too impressed with New Orleans either?

I am probably the most skittish fan I know.  I took all four of those superbowl losses hard. 98 was a kick in the nuts and the Giants beat down made me embarrassed for a year, maybe two.  09 still makes me angry.
But I am fine.  I like this team best of all (except watching Moss break the Packers backs.) There is an efficiency and precision about these guys and they seem to enjoy the cadence Zimmer is calling.  I have zero fear that this is the start of slide. I think they had a gut check last week and it might have been good for them.  Id rather they lost to the Bengals though!
