Wide receiver Adam Thielen, who scored his fourth touchdown of the season when he took a crossing route from Keenum 52 yards for a fourth-quarter score, also made his sixth catch of the game on the play.
That gave Thielen 80 catches for the season, which triggered an escalator clause in his base salary for the 2018 season. He’d already put himself in line to earn an extra $500,000 for next season by catching 70 passes, but bumped the escalator up by another $250,000 when he hit 80 catches on Sunday. If Thielen catches another 10 passes in the Vikings’ final three games, to finish with 90 for the year, he’d wind up with a $1 million escalator clause for 2018.
Thielen, who was originally set to have a $2.85 million base salary in 2018, has already pushed the number to $3.6 million for next season. He could drive the number up to $3.85 million with another 10 catches. The former undrafted free agent signed a four-year extension with the team in March.

Good for him.  Amazing bargain for the Vikings.  If he keeps this up for a couple more years he'll break the bank.

& I'm sure the Vikes are happy paying it !

I like incentive contracts & have thought it should just be a sliding fee scale for some positions, on top of a contractual salary
1 TD = X amount of $
1 yard  = X amount of $

yes, there are many other variables that make a player great and contribute to the yards, but at the end of the day, that's how WRs RBs & QBs are judged

anywho... Good for our homeboy! How could anyone not like this player ??

This home state kid is loving life. Hitting some sweet $$$$ incentives, young baby boy and wife, blowing up as a top NFL WR....good stuff for Adam. Happy for the guy.
