Gedeon, Waynes and the run defense.
This comes from the article on Gedeon

Obviously
the article focuses on Gedeon and how he has exceeded expectations in
the run game. But to me, the two gfycat images are more about the
unselfish play of the defense. And more surprisingly at the willingness
of Trae Waynes to stick his nose in there. He said to have a lack of
toughness, not a willing tackler from what I remember of his draft
report.
But look at the two images.
Trying to get the images posted. The first is

Watch both Waynes and EG. They are blocked up, but not content to be blocked. They don't get a hand on the RB, but by fighting through the blocks, they leave very little room for the RB and that is hole is filled by Gedeon. Waynes takes on the FB and really sticks his nose into it. Johnson and Joseph do their part as well, Johnson takes out the pulling guard in the backfield and Joseph motors down the line to help with the tackle. But pretty amazing for a smallish CB to be so willing to take on a FB.

Hunter does a great job of standing up the double team allowing a gap for Sendejo to knife through. He misses, but forces Peterson out wide where Waynes forces him out. But what amazes me, watch Waynes battle with the much larger TE. He give up ground, but slowly strings the play along and then thumps Peterson pretty well to force him out for no gain.
