Legend John Randle has high praise for one specific current Viking
At the end of our chat, I asked Randle about the 2017 Vikings. He still lives in Minnesota and knows plenty about the current team, so I was curious if he had any specific thoughts about a 10-2 team that is doing a lot of things well right now.
Randle singled out one player — not surprisingly a defensive player — for the target of much of his specific praise.
“Everson Griffen reminds me of myself, but he has Linval Joseph next to him. Guys like Linval Joseph, you don’t just find guys like that on every team,” Randle said. “Those are the kinds of players who come to work and maybe don’t get the thrills and satisfaction Griffen gets, but you need a guy like that on your team. He’s a guy that does it day in, day out. For guys who played in the National Football League like me, I know that when you talk about the Minnesota Vikings you have to talk about Linval Joseph. He is not a man, he is men. That dude is a load.”
He’s not a man, he is men.
I’ll be thinking about that one for a long time. Nicely done, John Randle.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
One of the commentators said during one game about Linval's size that he was "one monster of a human being." His size is definitely an advantage but combine that with his agility it's even better. He does the work underneath. It's not about being flashy but many times two guys are working on him or trying to. Linval and Everson work well together. They get the job done. That's why they get paid the big bucks. John Randle definitely knows what he is talking about. That quote was great.
Will have to remember that line. He is not a man, he is men. I wager much of our defensive success sits squarely on the massive shoulders of that men.
Good old john Randle this year I was a asis stand coach on one of the local high schools freshman football team I coached the d line I used YouTube videos of two nfl players ass lessons on playing with emotion and all out hustle on every play one was jj watt and the other was john Randle .Randle was a hit with kids all year one kid kept yelling in the practices and games big dogs in the house
