Are surging Vikings getting help from the Other Side?
Psychic Ruth Lordan has some advice for Vikings coach Mike Zimmer. Maybe he should listen. The last time Lordan gave Zimmer something, the Vikings won. Then they won again and again and again and again and again and again and again.
Eight straight games. Eight straight wins.
Lordan is convinced it’s no coincidence. She’s the Edina-based psychic who gave Zimmer a crystal ball just days after the Vikings lost to the Detroit Lions 14-7 on Oct 1.
The Vikings haven’t lost since, which comes as no surprise to Lordan.
“Why would I be surprised?” she asked.
The crystal ball came with a large purple veil and a little bit of magic.
Lordan’s advice has to do with keeping that magic flowing because the way she sees it, if the magic continues, so will the win streak.
“I heard from a TV reporter that Mike Zimmer had it on his desk,” Lordan said. “I think it would be good for him to keep it there. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. And remember, it’s the crystal ball plus the purple veil.”
The veil was given to Lordan by the wife of Doctor Fink, who played keyboard for Prince’s band, The Revolution.

There are other forces at work besides the crystal ball. Powerful forces. Packer forces.
“Coach Lombardi,” said Lordan, who claims she can communicate with coaches and others from, well, The Other Side.
More than a year before Minnesota was chosen as the site for this year’s Super Bowl, Lordan channeled former Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi for a local radio station. At the time, Lombardi said the trophy that goes to the Super Bowl champion and bears his name, the Lombardi Trophy, would be in Minnesota in 2018.
“Vince Lombardi said if it can’t be the Packers winning it, he would like it to be the Vikings,” Lordan said. “He said he’d be proud to see it in the Vikings’ hands. But he does want a nice marble stand for it.”
I'm the least superstitious person in the world, but he better keep that ball on his desk.
Way back... when the Rams won their Super Bowl... I was living in St. Louis at the time. And, prior to the season, they had some witch-doctor type weirdo on the local sports station... who sacrificed a chicken or something. Anyway, bottom line: there was some kind of voodoo going on... and, dang if they didn't win the whole thing.
So... I guess I'm with Wetlander: whatever it takes...

I remember Vermeils wife going on local news talking about being psychic and into this crap. She basically implied the Vikings were going to beat the Rams in the playoff game.
Anyone remember KQRS doing the voodoo on the opposing team during the twins world is the cardinals?
Well if Vince wants a Marble pedestal for his trophy let fkn get one ready, anything to increase the likelihood he's pulling for it to be in MN. Prince and Vince working together....A purple pedestal. Have they resolved Prince's estate yet? He must have had some purple marble around Paisley Park somewhere.....
