Maybe, just maybe, this offense for the Vikes is just a very QB friendly offense, and Teddy will thrive in it too.
I beginning to think that as well... I mean Bradford had a career year statistically last season despite a terrible offensive line. Now the line is fixed and Keenum is playing the best football he's EVER played in his career... it DOES make you wonder how Teddy would look with these weapons and offensive line. It's certainly not a stretch to think that he could play much better (statistically) than he has in the past with a completely different offense and personnel.

thank you. Completely agreed

we have a good OL, we have very good WRs, and we have a very good OC. Give Teddy a couple of games. Instead of asking what if? Lets try it, we can always go back.
I have absolutely no problem if they take a risk with Teddy, the upside is enormous. Case is playing at his upside which you can no doubt win games with. But I really don't think Case can take this team to a Super Bowl. Its not that he isn't capable of starting, its the fact that at some point the team is going to be down 10 pts late in the 3rd quarter and I personally don't think you can win that game on Case's arm. His accuracy is just too erratic. Teddy isn't going to come in and throw for 300+ a game, but I do think if he plays on par with his 2016 level the accuracy and ball placement alone will erase the lows.

All boils down to risk aversion, short-term vs long-term lens...I'm just trying to enjoy 7/2 for pete's sake. Vikings wont even let me do that lol!

Teddy basically ran for his life the two seasons he started. Rookie QBs usually need more time in the pocket anyway, and Teddy didn't have that luxury very often.I agree, with this OLine, WRs, and playcalling, Teddy will be surrounded with a different level of talent than before.
Have no clue what Zimmer is going to do but I think I'd like to see them stick with Case. He's having a hell of a run and this team hot, why change things up now?

Theilen worked with Case all summer long developed a friendship and that "intuitive" knowledge that comes after reps. Don't know if I'd like to 1. Mess with what is working, 2. Test Teddys mobility against Aaron Donald, 3. Pull Keenum from playing against his former team.
Most "outside" of Vikings fans think it's stupid to start Teddy. I've got guys (who know I'm a Vikes fan) saying..
"Theyre not REALLY gonna put Bridgewater in for Keenum are they?"
I just shrug my shoulders and tell them I have no idea.
There has been some fantastic arguments for and against Teddy starting this week...Best Vikings fan board out there.
@"StickyBun" said:Gregg RosenthalVerified account @greggrosenthal6m6 minutes agoBenching Keenum would take a lot of guts. But it makes sense. Everyone is in this to make Super Bowls. Teddy has the higher upside.More
I HATE THIS THOUGHT PROCESS!!!!
teddy, on the actual field, at his peak, is Case right now.... throw in a 18 month layoff and a horrible injury, how is his upside higher than Teddy? Teddy's an awesome kid, and worked his ass off to get back. but the way people talk about him, you'd think he's Joe Montana sitting on the bench.
