OK, the Lions lost to the Steelers today and are 3-4.  Vikes are 6-2.
The Lions play the Packers next week so who do you root for?  Do you want the Packers to loose and get buried further in the division or do you want the Packers to win and get more cushion between the Vikings and Lions before we get into the stretch run?
As much as I would love to see the Packers completely buried and finish behind Chicago in the division, I think I have to go with what's best for the Vikings and that is to get a big enough lead in the division that we don't have to worry about the one loss to the Lions in December.

Think I'd rather see the Kitties win, fuck the Pukers.

The Packers losing always feels like a Viking victory, doesn't it?. Especially on a bye week.  B)

It's tough to say, the Lions are more likely our direct competition and already have one win against us, so them losing may be better for us. Though I'd like to see Green Bay totally collapse.

I want to see a lions loss,  it helps us overall in the bigger picture.  Imagine we could get swept by the Lions and still end up winning the division by at least 2 games.  The packers are likely dobe and are just waiting for the games to be played to make it official.  Personally I am with those that want to see the pack return to mediocrity,  I want 7-9 seasons for them for the next 25 years....after that I'm likely dead and won't care as much.

This Packer team isn't making playoffs.  The more wins they get, the lower the draft picks.

A Packer win makes a division win likely.

Lions play the Bears and Packers twice.  Packers play the bears once.  They will all cancel themseleves out.

Games like this, I don’t worry about who I want to win.  I just hope that both teams look ugly.  Somebody I want to lose will win regardless,
and there’s too much of the season left to really know what’s best for us.

I agree. And because of this, I want the Packers to lose because I hate them way more than I hate the Lions. (Do I even hate the Lions? Not really.) I want the Packers fans to know that the Vikings killed their season. Once they are completely dead and buried I will be OK with them winning a game or two purely to screw their draft position.

The Lions are the competition at the moment so them losing helps us more in the here and now. But I'm just like the rest of you guys and would LOVE to see the Packers lose every stinkin' game they have left.
I have been impressed with the Bears actually. They are scrappy. Their run game is very good, their defense has improved. Trubisky makes rookie mistakes but you can see the talent there.
