THE OFFENSIVE LINE
Was pretty good

Wentz has looked better this year in his limited time ( and limited prep work) than Murray has with every advantage he has been given. Wentz or even Brosmer will get the ball out, which is first and foremost what you want your QB to do and that is deal the ball. Wentz will take a few more sacks most likely, but he can push the ball down field better and doesnt need to moon ball anything over 35 yards so it will be a better ball for the receivers. Murray is throwing way to many hospital balls, maybe that is another reason Jets is getting tired of this shit. Wentz's play against the Packers was better than anything and everything we have seen from Murray since then.
All we heard all offseason was how much better things were going to be, well they arent, they are worse, so continuing with Murray is the worst choice that could be made right now if we want to not waste this season, and hope to keep our receivers content and engaged.
I was not happy with the trade of JJM, but that is not worth wasting our time on, that is offseason material at this point. we need to talk about salvaging this season, IMO... start Wentz now, work the phones hard for another veteran to bring in as long as you dont have to break the bank or risk our future to do it. most likely available... Dan Jones, Kirk Cousins or maybe Geno Smith ( who is having a decent year stat wise despite being on a shit team.)
K1 has helped revive TJH from the dead, but needs to establish more with Jettas. A big part of that is on KOC too.
I dont think they're at the point of ending the QB experiment yet?
But no doubt they're having to plan for contingencies.
Personally I dont see a move for a Qb1 this late. I think they roll with the QB room they got - unless someone gets dinged for the season.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

or... just saying here.... TJH lost some weight, put in the work in the offseason, and is playing better. I dont think that is a result of Murray coming in as much as its TJH realizing that he was quickly becoming the weakest link and he needed to step up if he wants to keep on playing and getting paid.
6 of TJHs 31 catches came in the first 2 games from CW, and 1 of his 3 TDs was thrown by Wentz. I dont think its about minnie mouse.

Thielen is pimping they should trade for a QB...Give that link Cricket posted a listen when u have time.
Ive been of the belief no way it happens this late in the season, maybe they'll prove me wrong?
Or maybe pivot the offense to ala Tampa Bay?
Zero Pass Completions: Quarterback Baker Mayfield went 0-for-3 passing—becoming the first team in the Super Era (and first since the 1974 Buffalo Bills) to win an NFL game with zero completed passes. Mayfield spent the afternoon acting as a lead blocker and managing the run game.

I tend to agree PF. Wentz was last really good in 2021. I think he can manage games for us and we can get to the playoffs with him. but I don’t see us beating elite teams with him at all.
All in all, I still think Murray has upside in this O, it’s just taking time to get there and I’m impatient as hell about it.
how long do you wait? I would rather roll the dice with Wentz than to continue to see our stars getting over/under/ thrown, and or just flat out not thrown to at all, despite them being pretty consistently NFL open. KM just cant see the field well enough to get the job done. if they stick with Murray I see this whole damn season getting blown up pretty quickly as he wont keep the locker room and the stars are already getting restless.

Are the Bears elite :P

No, I dont see any in our division. In the conference I would say the 49ers are and the rams will be.
I was just thinking over the weekend, nobody should be tossing dirt on the Rams yet...

thats the million-dollar question. I would think if we lose 2 more games without the O showing progress, they will do it. if we win 1 of the next 3 and the O plays well in 2 of them? Probably status quo. If its me, I make a change if we lose at home to Buffalo and the offense struggles in that game, but at 6-2 its probably too early if I'm being reasonable.

I am making the move now. lets say Wentz needs a couple weeks to find some rhythm ( something Murray hasnt shown yet against easy opponents) that could easily then be 6-3, we are still in the hunt for homefield, however if we let Murray go out and lose those games, and Wentz still needs a couple games to get things clicking... then we may be in that wild card meat grinder. I would prefer to see us settle the O down sooner than later ( I would have benched Murray coming out of the bye based on how pathetic he has looked for most of his snaps) this is millionaires playing a game to entertain me, reasonable doesnt factor into things IMO at this point when we are talking about a start to a season that we only see about once every decade or more, I am going to do what is necessary to get this thing going in the right direction sooner than later. If Murray suddenly starts lighting it up in practice, I am sure you can give him a shot down the road if Wentz is struggling or dealing with some injury shit, but either way I am getting Murray off the field now.
I think you unwillingness to move off Murray is you are thinking that he is part of the team being 6-1, i say we are are where we are in spite of his play, most other teams that have gotten what he has delivered from the QB1 role, would be lucky to be at 2 wins right now.

For sure, my only thing is they aren't a 'super team'.....they can be beat and have been. But in any one game scenario, buckle up.

I mentioned a few names in another thread, Dan Jones is the highest liklihood of being available, but is that what we want? Kirk Cousins or Geno Smith would be in the next tier, but neither of them are going to likely come cheap as the raiders are only a game out in the west, and the jets have nobody behind Geno. The last 2 that are tossed out there are Hebert and he isnt very likely to be had for anything less than stupid, and Mac Jones, but why would the Niners trade their back up QB to their chief competition in the NFC and also the fact that we play them in a couple weeks.

I know we're all sick of the offense not working, but we know what the offense looks like under Wentz. It's ceiling is only a little bit further than what we've seen from Kyler. I think you'd give KOC/Kyler another couple of games to sort things out before moving to Wentz. I think Teasely should be kicking the tires on Cousins today. They'll likely be 4-5 after playing the 49ers next week, which is the last game before the deadline.
You could poach Mullens at any time off the practice squad..
I think the real question is whether KOC wants to bring back any of the castoffs after he QB Killered them.
