Seattle at Denver tonight on Prime....
Now is the time we need to start rooting against any NFC team that plays an AFC team. I'm dubious that Bo Nix is going to pull it off tonight against a Seattle team that needs a win to keep pace in the NFC West, but it is in Denver so 🤞. A little bye week help tonight and for the weekend would be nice.

Should have watched The Diplomat instead!
I did both lol!
The Diplomat was much more entertaining btw.
Seattle needed to do more to keep that running back who's energizing KC this year. Thats the kinda piece we're missing too since Cook in his prime.
I still cant help but think how Sammie could have thrived here long-term with a little better OL and a RB mate. I was wrong in not wanting to re-sign him.
Did you know Kerri Russell and Matthew Rhys were married? I didnt...

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I've said it plenty of times, but I'll say it again: I don't believe Bo Nix is a good NFL QB. I think Sean Payton recognized his limitations early and built an offense around what Nix could do. Get him outside the pocket, emphasize short-to-intermediate throws, use his legs, and simplify the reads. After watching him struggle with basic accuracy on throws downfield early in his rookie season, Payton had to find a way to make it work. And after the investment Denver made in drafting him, he had every reason to try. I couldn't be happier to see that offense struggling while Payton is still calling the shots. 😂
As for Darnold, Seattle caught lightning in a bottle last year and rode it all the way to a Super Bowl. But one successful season doesn't mean a QB's weaknesses have disappeared. Injuries are real, and since returning, Darnold hasn't looked like the same QB. Some of those ghosts that showed up during his two games against Detroit and two against the Rams in Minnesota seem to be creeping back in Seattle. The running game also isn't providing the same threat it did last year, putting more pressure on Darnold to carry the offense as he works his way back.
That's the thing about the NFL: a great season doesn't automatically mean you've permanently solved a QB's issues. Sometimes the supporting cast, scheme, and circumstances are doing more of the heavy lifting than people want to admit. And when those things change, we find out a lot more about the quarterback himself.
The offensive play calling hid Darnold very well last year. They had a great run game and and a great D to lean on. If defenses were getting to Darnold, their offense just went to the run game and sheltered him.
That isn't working this year and Darnold definitely sees ghosts. Glad we didn't spend a fortune on him.

Payton sounds much less convincing that the offense is improving than KOC

A month ago Nix was the standard everyone was comparing JJM to. Now here we are.
A lot of standards have fallen a bit: Maye, Herbert, Darnold, Daniels.
