A clean slate at QB for 2027
That's what Teasley wants and that what KOC wants....and now they got it. Could Kyler Murray be that QB? Its possible, JMO but I don't think they'll end up making that commitment. So who will it be? Do they like a QB in next year's Draft enough? Will it be a bridge vet QB signed in '27 to let a rookie sit?

My takes on JJM have been basically the same as yours throughout the entire fun saga. Yesterday wasn't sad because I've known he's been gone since March.
But in true Vikings fashion it all goes down in the ugliest, clowniest way possible.
Let's review-
In a perfect world in KO's mind, Kyler shows up, lights it up, puts JJM away early in July, we trade McCarthy, and move on.
What actually happened-
Kyler showed up, was more or less even with McCarthy during our "open competition".
Kyler stinks out the night practice and the very next day is named the Starter. O... kay.
Fast forward to Kyler stinking out the regular season-- including this fun nugget from @IHartitz on X-
Our starting QB has statistically never looked worse under KO, so what should we do? Trade away the backup the very next day! Of course!
The whole thing reeks of Browns behavior and anyone who says otherwise is lying. I wish McCarthy the best but even ignoring him and in keeping the focus solely on the Vikings-- how does any of this make sense? When has an open competition at QB worked? Maybe by trading JJM that means the circus is finally over and we can move towards stability at the QB and on offense. KO can dream, right?
