• When blitzed last season, Love was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He ranked No. 2 among NFL quarterbacks when blitzed, per SumerSports, which tracked him with 0.32 expected points added per play. That’s a fancy way of boiling down his production — 61% completions for 1,421 yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions — and his negative plays in a weighted metric.

• Only Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald (21-2) has a better win percentage than O’Connell (35-4) when breaking even or winning the turnover battle. Murray can be a bit fumble-prone, but he’s been a good caretaker as a passer with a career 2.0% interception rate.

• Home-field advantage? The Vikings are 11-8-1 against the Packers in the last decade, but 7-3 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

• Preseason darlings? This is the 12th straight year the Vikings have opened as Week 1 favorites, according to Pro Football Reference. That includes two previous openers against Green Bay: a 2020 loss and 2022 win.
