Wait, what happened to Heinicke?

I thought he looked really promising his rookie preseason, but then had the year off and seemed to have really regressed this past preseason. Not to mention he seemed small and had a pretty weak arm on top of it all.
Oh well, I think someone like Sloter has much more potential anyways and is the perfect developmental 3rd string QB.
He needed to show that he was ready to be the #2 guy and he just didn't do that this preseason. He was inconsistent.

Keenam>Heineke
Sloter>Heineke
Bridgewater (injured)> Heineke
Weren't people Pissed we released him? And then really Pissed when the Patriots picked him up?

The bottom line was Minnesota was ready to name Heinicke the #2 behind Teddy with any kind of decent preseason before he jammed his leg into a door window. It was his moment in NFL time and he blew it. He's now invisible and likely done.
