Vikings/Ravens Joint Practices ~ Aug. 19th & 20th
Vikings last two Training Camp Practices of 2026 are:
Day #15 - Wed. Aug. 19th
Day #16 - Thurs. Aug. 20th
Both days are joint practices with the Ravens.
Figured we would get a head start with any pre-practice days' info from both teams. Then will continue in same thread for both practice days.
Edit to add times. Same for both days.
Another edit, as I was wondering why they started the actual practice earlier than what was originally posted. Guess they caught their typo also, as the times did change. Or, maybe my old eyes need some new glasses. 😎

I really like to hear this!
Vikings running a 2-minute to end this joint practices vs. Ravens, and Kyler Murray places perfect ball to Justin Jefferson from muddy pocket. Justin was doing the Griddy. Easily most positive moment from offensive side.

J.J. McCarthy follows it up with a big down the middle hit to Myles Price. Two touchdowns in a row. Exceptional offensive finish. Loud celebrations. https://t.co/1RKzbBS43S

Brian Flores lining up 8 guys on the LOS in situational drills is diabolical

Vikings Joint Practice Vs. Ravens Recap: Brian Flores’ defense dominates, while Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy struggle to find footing
The first joint practice between the Minnesota Vikings and Baltimore Ravens is in the books and dominated by Brian Flores’ defense.
The Minnesota Vikings are wrapping up training camp with joint practices with the Baltimore Ravens.
Over the next few days, the Vikings will have two practices and a preseason game on Saturday afternoon. Those performances will have a major impact on who will make the 53-man roster.
What ended up happening at practice? I was there live and these were the main takeaways.
Dallas Turner is everywhere
One of the biggest questions surrounding the Vikings going into the season was at edge rusher. Trading Jonathan Greenard created a big hole at EDGE3. Dallas Turner is set to elevate to the starting role, and continues to prove how ready he is.
Joint practices are a good litmus test for Turner, and he passed it with flying colors. He blew up a run play in the early portion of team drills and got a sack paired with Levi Drake Rodriguez shortly thereafter. He’s explosive and holding up well at the point of attack, proving that he’s the guy they drafted him to be.
On two-minute drills, Turner continued to get massive pressure on Lamar Jackson. He’s primed to be a monster.
Quarterbacks struggle, but it’s not a big deal
One of the interesting elements about joint practices is seeing a team you haven’t dealt with for the last three weeks. It creates a better avenue for growth and exposes you to new players and different techniques.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go well collectively for the quarterbacks. It was hard to see collectively what the offense was doing from a distance, but multiple interceptions were thrown by both Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy. First day is often an adjustment period, meaning Thursday’s practice will be a more informative showing.
The best throw of the day came from Murray, who hit Justin Jefferson on a deep corner route toward the end of practice on situational team drills.
Elijah Williams rises up
One of the best stories from last year’s training camp was defensive lineman Elijah Williams. After earning a contract at rookie minicamp, he was the star of training camp and earned a spot on the 53-man roster.
This year, he’s gotten mostly second and third-team reps, but has looked good in the process. He had a three play sequence with the second team on Wednesday that stood out:
Tackle for loss
Dropped into coverage
Tackle for loss
Williams even got some reps with the first-team defense and was solid in those, including driving the offensive lineman backward a few yards.
Other notes
Linebacker Jake Golday mixed it up with the first-team and cornerback Da’Veawn Armstead with the 2s in 7-on -7 drills.
Linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. continues to look more comfortable in coverage and working in space.
Safety Jay Ward had a nice interception in two-minute drills, and safety Jacob Thomas nearly followed up on the next play with one of his own.
Wide receiver Myles Price continues his success. He caught a couple touchdowns on the day, including a deep post from McCarthy in the two minute drill.

Some great stuff in here! I love the posts, Cricket. What I don't understand is the we have two big plays and we only get to see the celebrations? Don't get me wrong, I want to see the Griddy every week and it's still the best TD celebration ever, IMO, but I want to see these 40-50 yard bombs to Jefferson and Price. Oh well.

Pretty sure videoing practice is forbidden.

They're not allowed to video/record the plays. No recording or live streaming allowed at T.C. ~ KOC is adamant about it too. If caught, they will tell you to stop recording and/or be told to leave and possibly be banned from future practices. I know of one that's been banned for a year.

More in-depth takeaways coming on Vikings' joint practice with Ravens. A snippet: Thought the offense was very uneven until the two-minute drill to finish. Both run and pass. Jordan Mason continues to stand out. Defensively, looked like it was nonstop pressure on Lamar.

•Dallas Turner winner of practice. Lived in the backfield all day. Think I counted two sacks on Lamar, multiple pressures, and a disrupted screen. Breakout hype is very real.
•Strong day for Big Citrus. Had a pretty sweet bull rush on Danny Pinter and his best play of the day came with the 1’s when he put Vega Ioane flat on his back on the way to stopping a Derrick Henry run.
•Defense mostly dominated for both teams. Lots of runs and short throws underneath.
•Despite it being a mostly defensive day, both Kyler and JJ recorded explosives in two minute. Kyler lobbed up a deep post for Jefferson in the endzone for a 45ish yard TD, and McCarthy hit Price in the back of the endzone for about the same.
•Jay Ward good day. Picked off snoop Huntley and ended practice with a sack that he and Golday split.
•AVG good day. Felt like he’s had a quiet camp but today he had a PBU and an awesome sim pressure from Flores, a would be strip sack on Lamar, and a few pressures with DT
•Myles Price had another strong day. Caught a bomb from McCarthy in the endzone during two minute and had multiple receptions and good routes during the 1on1 period.
