Treadwell
In all the talk about the win and Rodgers going down, not much has been mentioned about Treadwell. Nice to seem him make some great catches and contribute. Not sure why Floyd was not used more but I guess not everyone can get on the field at the same time and same game.
Also thought Rudolph did well moving the sticks.
Treadwell had the highlight reel catch of the year.
A game to build on for sure...with Diggs hurt yet again and Floyd not showing much to date Treadwell could really take charge of that 2/3 WR spot...let's see it again, LaQuon...
That one handed grab was SICK...
THAT is what we should be seeing with more targets to Quon.
BOOM
Last game it seemed Floyd had some trouble getting lined up in the right spot. I saw others motioning and pointing to/at him to change his alignment/position. Maybe he isn't up to speed yet on the offense. I think Treadwell needs to gain confidence and the QB's need to have confidence he will do what he did today and make a play if they throw it to him when he is 'covered'. A step in the right direction today.
he is showing that he is more than what he has been getting, in fairness with Diggs and Theilen playing opposite the QBs werent really giving Quan much of a look, and even early today there were times that he was open but keenum was so quick to go away from him and didnt go back. the thing with a guy like Treadwell.... you have to trust that he will make the play, he is not the type to get yards of separation, but he doesnt need it as we saw today. just throw it his way and let him make the plays.
All three grabs were nice. He also knocked the DB about out of the Stadium. He's a physical player, and it looks like he may be gaining confidence. Hope he can keep it going.
Michael Floyd had a calf injury during the game, but I haven't seen anything about the severity of it. He was fairly quiet as a receiver today, but he did have a great block downfield on McKinnon's receiving TD. I think he still needs a little more time to get up to speed.
Treadwell had a nice game. He made some really nice catches, was physical, and you see that he's starting to get more confidence. It would be big for the offense if he can emerge as a consistent threat, but at least we're starting to see some of the things that made him a standout player in college.
Nice game for Treadwell, loved the fire he played with. That one handed catch was amazing and the "clean" block was awesome. Should not have been a penalty but I loved his reaction when they called it.
I was encouraged by what I saw from Treadwell. That was a highlight reel catch. Hopefully he can build on that. Floyd was hurt in the game. Guess we'll have to wait and see how bad it is.
So overall I think Treadwell is playing better this year. 14 targets on the whole year so far. I think he will show better if he gets targeted more but hard to when Diggs and Theilen are playing so well.

Exactly, it's hard for LT to get stats when the ball doesn't go his way. The fact that he's out there says that he is doing something right.
I really did like seeing Treadwell out there and yeah that one hand snag was awesome :D He needs to make the most of every chance he gets. It'd be huge if he could really start to contribute.
He's also the reason that interception didn't get run back for a TD. He hustled down the field and caught Matthews from behind and knocked the ball out.
That one handed catch was BA! But I also liked the block where he leveled the guy.
I thought the block was legit.

He still has to get open. His lack of separation speed is one of his problems, but he seemed to get open a few times yesterday. I would imagine slower receivers have to use guile and leverage to make up for speed. Maybe he's learning how to do that. To his credit, Keenum has started to look his way and that could pay off big for Tready and the Vikes. It'll be interesting to see if Treadwell can hold off Floyd...

That penalty pissed me off. 10 years ago that was football.
