That'a boy....

Since being named the Vikings Head Coach in 2022, Kevin O’Connell has a 5-3 record against the Packers with a -17 total point differential in their matchups.

I liked Zimmer and he was a good coach until he wasn't. Amazing defenses, but his approach wore thin with the players. As a HC, I think he is no where near as good as KOC.
^ Sums it up. 👍

Its just a goofy thing to keep bringing up, like somehow this is who he'll always be. Anytime anyone brings up something positive about KOC, which there are several, you drop this tired ass gem of yours. Its a stat until it isn't. He's 43-25 in the regular season. He's coached 4 years in the NFL, 3 seasons of winning records outside the injury apocalypse of 2023. 2 seasons of 13+ wins. How did you not work in a jab at the Wilfs in there? Slipping, man....
Not sure why you even bother. You eventually notice this is more about the hater than the hated. You remove one target, it doesn't go away, it just shifts to the next.

Agreed. My bad.

Ok, but the results thusfar don't support that. That's all I'm saying.

Again, just think it's funny we are over here fist bumping and arm pumping over OConnell having a winning record against Green Bay when are heading into year 5 under him and have done nothing in the playoffs. If regular season success and brownie points are your thing, more power to you, Sticky, and the rest.

If you look harder enough, you can find faults for about everyone...Sorry for just being human.

Bud Grant famously said "A good coach needs a patient wife, a loyal dog, and a great quarterback, but not necessarily in that order." The entire history of the Vikings shows that it's all about the quarterback.

This is what I found vs Lions since 2022:
Vikings 3-6 (33%)
GB 3-6 (33%)
CHI 1-7 (12.5%)
In 2025 vs Lions:
Vikings 1-1
GB 2-0
Chi 0-2
Lions have had a great stretch since drafting well and the rare trade at QB that worked out well for both teams. That said, I'm not sure if their best football is still ahead of them or not?
If we get the QB right and the D doesnt take too much of a step back? I think we improve on those 9 wins from 25.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

KO has done a great job IMO. If there was one issue I had, it was that he took too long to adjust his scheme around the QB. Too many times I felt he was trying to force the system to the QB. Once he adjusted that, things seemed to work pretty well. Other than that, he’s a very good head coach.

I agree...He's a bright guy and can chalk-board up some of the nicest pass plays a fan can watch unfold.
Yah, he took too long to adjust the O for JJM and he hasn't found his sweet spot for balancing running/passing consistently.
But at least he did finally adjust the O and this season brought in Frank Smith to help blend in that running game more seamlessly.
Time will tell on all of this - now job #1 is to execute that QB competition and adjust the offense accordingly if K1 is the ultimate starter.
