I think the NFL has its fingers crossed that Jaxson Dart takes off.....that oh so valuable New York TV market they always cater to.

As for playing the Packers in week 3, that's good. Parsons is coming off an ACL tear and should get better as the season progresses. Beat them on the road early the season, then beat them again at home late in the season. That works.

As for the SF game in Mexico, that is likely at the Azteca stadium which, I believe, is at a higher elevation than Mile High stadium. That will affect both teams. But having a road game where both teams have to travel and neither has a home field advantage is a bonus for us.

So far so good.

Doesn't it seem like we knew a lot more scheduled games the day before the release last year? Other than international, its been radio silence.

If what I saw was correct. We got at GB for week 3 Thursday night and the Lions on thanksgiving.
2 short week road games against divisional foes is bullshit.

It's Bears @ Lions on Thanksgiving

One of the NFL’s oldest rivalries will reportedly be involved in the 2026 Thanksgiving slate.

The Bears are set to face the Lions in Detroit on November 26, per a report from NFL reporter Jordan Schultz.

It's Wednesday, Sept. 9th. Weird, right? 😎

"The game will air on NBC and Peacock at 8:20 p.m. ET, marking a rare Wednesday kickoff for the annual NFL Kickoff Game.

The game is on Wednesday rather than Thursday to accommodate an international game in Australia on Sept. 10.

The first-ever regular-season game in Australia features the San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne on Sept. 10."

The teams involved in the NFL’s first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game have been set. Rams host the Packers

Netflix will televise the game between the Packers and the Rams on Wednesday, November 25 - 8 P.M. ET

"It is the first Packers game to be revealed so far. If history is any guide, it will be one of multiple standalone games for Green Bay."

I didn't catch the Wednesday part. Two Wednesday night games this year.

I guess I haven't paid much attention, but when did the NFL go from two or three int'l games to NINE? I've always thought of these international games mostly as a novelty, an opportunity for the NFL-curious overseas to see what the fuss is all about. Good for them, good for the NFL. But this is now serious seed planting. Can you imagine the revenue, cap, and contract picture if the TV contracts go global?

2026 NFL International Games Schedule (Confirmed):

  • Sept. 10 (Week 1): San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams (Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia).

  • Sept. 27 (Week 3): Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys (Maracanã Stadium, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).

  • Oct. 4 (Week 4): Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, UK).

  • Oct. 11 (Week 5): Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, UK).

  • Oct. 18 (Week 6): Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (Wembley Stadium, London, UK).

  • Oct. 25 (Week 7): Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints (Stade de France, Paris, France).

  • Nov. 8 (Week 9): Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons (Bernabéu Stadium, Madrid, Spain).

  • Nov. 15 (Week 10): New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions (Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany).

  • Nov. 22 (Week 11): Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers (Estadio Azteca, Mexico City, Mexico).

Question for the old timers: who else remembers the SB rematch to start the 1970 season? Vikings beat KC after losing the last game of the 1969 season.
