Who believes Minnesota can beat GB with Keenum at the helm?
I just can't see it. Being at home is helpful, but if the Packers bring pressure, Keenum can't get set to launch passes. His weaker arm becomes more of an issue. Wish we had Cook for this game. If Minnesota can't stretch the field, at least sporadically, its going to be very tough. Viking's D is going to need to play hard for 60 minutes.
Minus Diggs and Cook. ...very unlikely, but hey our defense can shut down receivers and get after the QB and the Packers aren't exactly healthy themselves so....any given sunday. The crowd will be a big deciding factor, bit I am betting that there will be plenty of packer fans there since there are a lot of tickets for sale online.
It'll be tough, but with Keenum getting a full week of practice...Murray on the verge of busting out...McKinnon stepping up...Griffen on a franchise tear...Hunter warming up and their tackles not in the prime of health...fuck yeah, we can beat them...
dus mi tung lok pople?
Possible? Sure...
Bovada line: GB -3
Not a ton of $$ pouring into GB and we USUALLY play em tough at home. So even though I believe this is the best GB team and surround Rogers has had since starting in 08 (scary), I would not at all be surprised if we won.
We'll have to see the Keenum that played vs TB. Grateful we have him this season. Keeping hope alive most games.
We can beat Green Bay. The question is how do we do that with the refs being Packers fans???
....and don't tell me they aren't.
No one will be surprised I am not optimistic about our chances. Keenum looks pretty fair to many of us because we remember Vikings teams rolling out the likes of Spergon Wynn in the past, but Keenum isn't really "the savior". He's a career 59% passer and his past teams gave him chances and saw him come back to earth.
But - I have been critical of Zimmer for his defense that "wins if the offense gets 21" (because it's an admission that our D isn't able to pitch near-shutouts). So Sunday is an excellent opportunity for that unit to do what I insist they must if they really deserve the label of "great": CARRY THE TEAM to a win. Our defense is our superstar now, or should be. The defense has to be the Vikings' franchise QB or workhorse RB because we don't have either of those. This is a great opportunity to frustrate Rodgers, force turnovers, get a defensive score, and set up our offense to win a game with a score like 16-9. Do that and I'll say they are great. I promise.
I don't think we'll win, but remember anything can happen on...
Go Vikes!

I agree with you. At the start of the season Tom Johnson proclaimed them the best defense in the league. They aren't. Play in the secondary has been less than stellar. Trae Waynes is very much a liability. Rodgers will go at him all night just like Trubisky did, and more. Alexander, Sendejo and Newman have all had their bad moments as well. Basically, it's Harry and Rhodes back there. Hunter needs to stop listening to all of his admirers and get to the QB. I think the D misses having Robison out there full-time.
The only way to get to Rodgers (inside his head, I mean) IMO is to rough him up. The D line needs to come after him hard from the get-go and contain his ass. Otherwise he's going to pick them apart.
The Puker's D is mediocre and will keep them from the promise land yet again this year. Ask any Green and Yella' fan here in Cheezeville and they all are worried about it. So, yeah, Case, Thielen, Diggs and Rudolph can beat them.
The issue is will the Vikes' D step up and put Erin on his a**, sack him 4 to 6 times, and keep Jordy and Cobb out of the endzone. If our D takes the day off, Case could throw 4 TD's and we'll lose handily.
In a real war all you would have to do is shoot the legs of the zebras they ride and then they would be dead in the water.
Our offensive line isn't offensive anymore. Keenum is playing well. We have a week of Floyd in practice. McKinnon, he sucks on kick returns, but he is playing RB better than he ever has. Rhodes is all world. Waynes played well last year against GB. Barr is covering the entire field again this year. Smith is, well, Smith. And I see Hunter and Griffen meeting at the qb numerous times this weekend.
Not going to be an easy game, but I fully expect us to pull out a win.
It does seem like Rodgers has been holding the ball quite long this year. If he does that 2 things must happen for us to win. 1) we need to put him on the ground a lot! and 2) the refs must call holding when it happens.
yes we can win with Case. we can make playoffs with any of our 3 top qbs. dont know anything about Sloter, to be honest.
our defense is top notch and can scheme different ways. we have an arsenal of weapons on offense. with emotional leaders like Everson Griffen, and a coach i think players trust and respect, we can do it.
not sure why our fans are always so down on the team. we are 3-2 with weird qb and rb injuries. man we suck.
skol vikes! we are a playoff quality team.
I have a feeling this is one of those weird games that we're gonna write off for just that reason, and then he comes out and looks like an All-Pro. We win 38-30 or something and then proclaim him the starter going forward... and then he's mediocre the rest of the year.
I do not believe the Green Bay Packers can beat the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday.
I do, however, believe that the Minnesota Vikings can beat themselves this Sunday
I guess any given Sunday. I think Case is a very capable QB and our defense is that good. No Diggs... No win IMO
Without Diggs, it's very worrisome...unless Floyd decides to be enough to a hero to take some coverage from Thielen and Rudolph.
Anything is possible...I never completely give up hope until I'm watching the game and it's obvious they ain't gonna win.
The formula will be the same for all of Case's starts: no TOs, no ST gaffes and can the Defense hold the opponent to a few 3 and outs to give the Offense a short field.
None of those happened against Detroit, hence the loss.
Having said that this is a weird year across the League. Wouldn't surprise me if this is a Stranger Things kind of game.
Already down Bradford and Cook, if Diggs is out too, game over. We'd need something like multiple non-offensive TD's to pull it out.
