Lived to fight another game...

Scrappy outing by the team. I had us beating Detroit and losing @ Chicago, but what do I know?

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

It's probably difficult NOT to try reaching to defend the pass.  I'm sure he would have preferred to intercept or knock the ball down, but to not do anything and "hope" no one catches it is probably an impossible thing to do--for anyone.

its like being under a pop fly and having somebody else call you off.... how hard is it not to raise your glove up anyway?  i always had a big mouth so i just kept yelling over top of them and took them myself.

Sendejo continues to be the player on the team that is the most disappointing for me.  I don't know how anyone can defend his play all of the time.  Most fans and draft pundits have had his replacement as a need for the team for the last few drafts.  Yes, like all players he will occasionally make a bigger play and have stretches of decent, adequate performance, but he's a step late or steps out of perfect position far too often.  Then he tries to make up for it with his typical throw-your-body-at-it tackle (which has injured a few teammates when he hits them instead).  His interceptions have been terrible throws, like the one directly to him this season by Jameis.  Speaking of which, he's played 80 games as a Viking, most of them as a starter, and he has just five career interceptions (by comparison, Joey Browner averaged five a season starting for the Vikings and Orlando Thomas had twenty ints in his first five seasons).  Good, solid players at his position should and do usually get around 4-6 ints per season.  He just doesn't have the speed and skill for it.  As one NFLN former player put it when showing the highlight of the tipped touchdown, "A better safety would have intercepted that ball."  All I could say was "yep."  To add to it, I believe he's maximized his ability now, especially as a 30 year old, undrafted former practice squad player.
