Wow! I grew up on Tom Petty's music. I was in High School when Damn the Torpedos came out and I was hooked.  Great artist! 66 is young.

I liked some of his songs ... but it wasn't my taste.  To me his songs all sounded the same. 

I enjoyed reading about his life's ups and downs - and I forgot how many songs of his I liked.

Edit: Just read that there hasn't been any confirmation of his death yet.  He was taken off life support though.

I started another thread. The LAPD supposedly jumped the gun and his daughter said he is alive. Wth? I'm so confused.
