Kiper released his first mock yesterday and has the Vikings taking CB Benjamin Morrison. Interestingly, in his position rankings, he has Shavon Revel ranked ahead of both Morrison and Barron. Revel tore his ACL in September. He should be fine by training camp, but he's probably going to miss the combine, pro days and OTAs. Revel is intriguing, but do the Vikings want two corners returning from ACLs?

24. Minnesota Vikings
Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame

Minnesota has big-time cornerback questions. All three starters -- Stephon Gilmore, Shaquill Griffin and slot guy Byron Murphy Jr . -- are free agents, along with backup Fabian Moreau . So, even though the Vikings led the NFL in interceptions by quite a bit (24, five more than second best), they might have to restock their CB room in the draft. Morrison missed all but six games in 2024 with a hip injury, but he's a top-tier cover man. He has sound technique, and he has the ball skills to keep Minnesota's INT total high. Morrison had nine picks and 21 pass breakups over his career.

I like the Rodgers signing. Feels like it’s going to be a deal that doesn’t look like a huge splash, but end up being a great value signing. Not sure what he will do here on STs but he’s great when it comes to it.

DJ had him going to the Vikings in his first mock. I threatened him with a swirly for giving us a S from Georgia.

He backed down.

Don't care if he turned out to be Ronnie Lott...F them Georgia safeties The chances of Kwesi taking a safety in the first round after the Lewis Cine debacle is somewhere between zero and me waking up to Sydney Sweeney in my bed. Not happening

Well…yeah

I was just thinking about Griffin earlier this morning. Adding a mid-tier, starting-capable corner like Griffin is the move we need to make to take CB off the 1st pick list. Maybe. But guys, I'm tellin' ya, our first pick is going to be a RB. Maybe after a trade down, but it's going to be a back. Write it down...on a dry erase board.

If Harmon or Barron are available at 24 I’d stick. Hampton I probably stick too. Anyone else I’m moving down.

I just don't think this is a particularly strong group of prospects at corner this year and two of the better ones in Revel and Morrison are coming off major injuries. I think you'll only see two maybe three corners go in the 1st round, Hunter, Johnson and Barron. The Vikings still have a need at the position and I hope they don't reach for one out of need. If Barron falls in your lap at #24, great, otherwise hoping they look at another position
