Packers vs. Lions in the NFCC game. Somebody has to go to the Superbowl. I'm such a ray of sunshine this morning!

Living in MN?

Packers getting to SB would be the nuclear option vs Lions.

I suspect 49'ers will be getting their mojo back and will be a tough nfc out.

It's hard to root against the Liedowns. Their fans are generally pleasant enough. If any team has had it worse than us, it's Detroit. The Puke should get every bad call against them for the next 100 yrs. and be forced to use their long snapper as the emergency QB every week.

I can't begrudge a lions fan,  pretty sure it was lions fans that invented the paper bag over the head gag.  I would have no problem with them winning one.

Chiefs, Lions, Bucs,  anything other than  those three and I'm disappointed all the way to pissed.   Definitely don't want to see puke, bills, or niners win it.

Hell no to the Lions. We need company in the “teams that have never won a superbowl group”.
If the Lions win one, we remain the punching bag in the NFCN. Two is company.

My preference:

  1. Ravens, Chiefs, SF, Bucs (in no particular order)
  2. Texans, Bills (distant third out of spite for the Packers. They get this spot being in the AFC.)
  3. Packers (very very distant third)
  4. Lions (you cant even see how far back they are even if you used a telescope)

Got this nagging notion we are supposed to root for them both to go Super Bowl so they get a worse draft pick.

I am all in on the Lions for the NFC, I really like the way they have rebuilt their team and give them a lot of credit.  49ers are one of my least favorite teams as well as Puke of course, but interesting enough I do not find myself having that usual extreme disdain for them where the sight of their uniform makes me want to gag.  I have come to realize that it was Favre and Rodgers who I really despised more so than the team, so I am actually rooting for a Lions/GB final.

In AFC I really want to see the Bills finally do it, that fan base is one of the best in football and it would do so much for all of upstate NY for them to win it, I think every company would have to close for a week cause it would just be one long out of control party!

Lions Vs Pack would be awesome. I hate the niners and the pack are fun to watch for me now that Rodgers is gone. Both teams have drafted well and it is interesting seeing all that young talent emerge.

You are assuming we will select the right or impact player with our high pick. Plus we could still trade the high draft pick to either the Lions or Packers for peanuts. Its not like we have not done that before. Imagine a scenario where they make it to the SB or win it and still end up with our high pick from a below par trade. Again… just saying

I know I'm a broken record on this but it's not always the best team who wins the Super Bowl. Sometimes it's just a team that gets hot and healthy at the right time. And the Packers are hot and healthy. Would not surprise me at all to see them beat the 49ers and go to the Super Bowl.

It's a pretty MID NFC playoff field. The Packers, Lions and Bucs? Wow.

Just look, one of these will be a QB in the Superbowl; Goff, Love, Baker, Purdy.
And we can't find a QB good enough to get there.

Cousins is better than all four of those guys.

Ugh. That would royally suck. I have deep hatred for Green Bay because they have been the strongest rival. Hate for Detroit is new because they have been in the toilet for so long. But I don't want either division team in the Super Bowl that would be absolutely nauseating for different reasons. I'd rather it be 49ers and Ravens or Bills and 49ers. I just can't with either Green Bay or Detroit

Baker yes, but the argument could certainly be made for the other 3.

I still wonder if the 49ers lose tonight and Purdy doesn't play well, if they would make a run at Cousins?

Not a LEGIT argument. Now, would I rather HAVE Love or Purdy right now? Of course, they're cheap and young. But they're not on Cousins level....yet. Goff is just Cousins light.

No, I don't think the 49ers go after Cousins. They've got what everyone wants: a competent QB on a rookie deal.  He may not be elite, but he doesn't have to be. I think Purdy would have to look like total shit for them to go after Cousins. But man that would be one helluva team.

If it is green Bay and Lions, kwesi is gonna sweat bullets.

He may  learn a painful lesson on why ya don't trade with division rivals won't be fun to watch.

Add to that, cine and Booth haven't played makes it worse.

Depends on the context. If you are talking from this point forward, then yes, you'd want all those guys over Cousins. Goff and Cousins are the same guy, except Goff isn't even 30 yet or coming off a major achillies injury. Vikings could really be in deep shit in the conference moving forward if we don't do something at quarterback this offseason

This game is starting to look exactly like 1987 Vikings vs niners.

in 1987 there's was a snow ice storm in Portland, San Fran got heavy rain

Living in Portland, we are just coming out of an  ice storm that latest all week.
