JJ's got it bad for Captain Kirk
Justin Jefferson: "I really think it goes to show the rest of the world the type of player Kirk is. At the end of the day, this is a tough league. ... It's tough not having 8 out there, the captain that he is, the leader that he is. He's a great player."

Well Mr Jefferson, how about backloading that contract to keep your good buddy in purple, what do you say…? ;) B)
The Cousins situation was partially brutalized by the fact that the Vikings, unlike the Pukers and others with big-time passing offenses, didn't build around the QB for a decade or more. We had AP, we had years basically spent (wasted?) in transition, and we had years with a defense/clock coach whose favorite QB was the definition of a moderate-arm "game manager"...which was, in turn, managed by Zimmer.
Cousins' arrival forced changes to get any good use out of him, and our o-line was shown to be NOWHERE near ready...for years. We were still built on the idea of 25+ runs per game, clock control, etc...but Diggs had already been shown to be a long-ball danger, as had Thielen, and Rudolph as a red zone menace. Once Cousins was a part of things, simply scoring 2 TDs and 2 FGs and trying to starve the opponent out wasn't the recipe, anymore.
