I just can't do it.....
I cannot root for the Packers today. I've tried in the past when it meant something good for Minnesota, but when the game starts, my DNA goes right to hating on the Cheeseheads.

This is why I'm more convinced than ever that the QB, the gameplan and each roster's handful of superstars spell the difference between winning and losing each week.
The bulk of each NFL roster and its depth is pretty much indistinguishable from the next. I've heard people occasionally complain about their team's lack of depth. My argument has always been that the depth is damn near the same on every roster. The salary cap almost assures that.
It's why when a player like Aaron Jones or Darrisaw or Davenport, or whoever goes down, the consequence isn't nearly as big as one might think.
Just some black Friday football philo...
After riding Love's jock pretty hard this year, I thought he played well yesterday. Nice arm talent. If he keeps going this way, they won't take a QB in the upcoming Draft.
First 11 starts
Aaron Rodgers through his first 11 games:
2,599 passing yards
17 TD’s
9 INT’s
5-6 record
Jordan Love through his first 11 games:
2,599 passing yards
19 TD’s
10 INT’s
5-6 record

I mean if they're back half of the 1st round, what's the point of replacing Love with a QB taken in the same place?
This was Love's first year as a starter. I think he's shown enough to give him another year. Ideally, he'll continue to be up and down, forcing the Packers to wring their hands over it for another couple of seasons.

I grew up about an hour and 15 minutes away from Lambeau Field in Michigan. Been to at least 5 games there when I was in high school. They were the worst team in the league from like 1973 to 1978. I saw Green Bay put up 49 points in the first half against the Bucs in 1983 (still a record), back when the NFC Central was the land of mediocrity....the winner usually won't it be barely being over .500.
correct me if im wrong, but didnt they split time between Lambeau and some field in Milwaukee, because no one would attend the games at “historic” Lambeau field?
They did split home games between Green Bay and Milwaukee from 1933-1994.

I don't think this was the thought 3 weeks ago. But again, he's played better for sure. Can't deny that much.
So of course, as things have shaken out, the top challenger to Minnesota's playoff spot is: Green Bay. lol.
