RUMOR: Matt Ryan a Viking?
Hearing that a bit.....
Just a thought.
the 49ers had a plan to sign Philip Rivers last year had they beaten the Eagles.
Does anyone think the Vikings may be thinking that same thought? He is immobile, but Kirk doesn’t move around much. He can throw the ball, he has played a long time and has seen every defense out there.

The only reason I don't say under 1% is that the idea of playing with Jefferson, Addison, Hockenson and a young, improving offensive line has to at least gnaw at him a little.Na, he has Fuck you money. Why bother at this point? Frankly Kirk has Fuck you money. I don't know why he'll even come back.
Because it's not about money?
Lets circle back on that theory when contract talks start up in a few months. ;) Kirk has always made it about the money, he may love whats he's doing, but he's also not going to leave any change in the cushions in KAMs office when he's done.

QB contracts are about more than just the QB. They're about their families, their future, their representation, their business ventures and endorsements. In the interest of all of those things, QBs will always tell their agents to get market value. To do otherwise is just foolish. But this conversation was not about that. It was about why Brady might want to come back or (bizarrely) why Kirk would want to come back. And that's what is not about the money. That's about playing football.

its always about the money, they can play football for league minimum and really help the team, but they demand the biggest deals they can get, so its the money. If you dont think its about the money, why is there free agency, why are there agents, its about the money. he dont need the money, he comes back to play football, but as long as he is coming back, its gonna be about the money.
Want nothing to do with Murray. Reminds me of a hybrid Johnny football and the 2022 version of Russell Wilson. Brady isn't coming out of retirement to play for a team that doesn't have a 95% chance at a SB. Also a fat no to the sweat monster noodle arm Ryan.

Again, this wasn't about that. This was about coaxing a QB out of retirement. But yes, I'm sure he'll get a paycheck.

for Brady, I dont think it would be about football, or the money, for him... IMO it would be about his legacy.
The Falcons ate over $40 mil in dead cap to trade Ryan for a 3rd rounder. And that was 2 seasons ago. In other words:

@"MaroonBells" said:@"pattersaur" said:I don't think Fields is an option. He's not very good and I think the last thing we'd want to do is help the Bears salvage their mistake. I think it has to be a veteran with some experience adjusting to new offenses.@"MaroonBells" said:Agreed, it's a long shot but if the brass is serious about trying to save the season, he should be the first call. Then probably Chicago about Fields. Then maybe Kyler but man. I just hate that contract so much and with his apparent disdain for doing homework I doubt he'd get up to speed fast enough to make a difference. He'd probably drive KO crazy in the process too. But those are the options we have, as I see it... which is why we'll probably just roll with who we have in-house and see how the chips fall.@"comet52" said: Brady is retired for good imho. Personally, considering he's been learning the offense since he was drafted 6 months ago, I think Hall gives us the best chance to win, outside of a guy like Brady.
This is where I am at as well. Hall probably gives us the best chance to win. He also isn't a normal rookie. 25 years old, sounds like the veterans were impressed with his command in the huddle on Sunday. His mobility could be a plus to extend drives. Also, how many rookie QBs get to play behind a line that is good, and has the receiving core they do? Cam Akers needs more carries and it Could be a nice ride.
