Maybe some fans don't like Kirko, but the guys that play with him sure the hell do:

Kirk still had some shit moments last night,  but he also showed what can be done in this O when a QB climbs the pocket a little,  he extended plays within the pocket on many of those 3rd down conversions and that was key IMO to the win.

His pick and the 2nd TD to Addison were both on him,  there were a few other stinkers,   but that first TD ball to Addison was a beauty.  As good of a pass as you will see at any level.  Perfect trajectory,  perfect velocity,  perfect placement.  I bet I watched that one back 6 times.

So does every QB during almost every NFL game, including the winners. Have you ever watched the NFL Redzone? I'm seriously asking. Because if you did you'd really have an eye opening experience as far as what other QBs do. Shit throws, bad decisions, lucky/unlucky bounces, etc. A horrible series or two. It happens to almost every winning QB every week.

JMO, but the Kirko Hate Club (KHC from this point on) is WAY too myopic. When the microscope is as intense as some fans put it on Cousins, the same scrutiny never applies to other QBs doing the same exact thing yet are considered 'winners'.

I watch a lot of football,  I have acknowledged that he had a very good game and made some really good throws,  1 was a great throw..  all I said is that he had some stinkers as well.  If you want to talk about other QB,  bring them up.   This is about Kirk and what he is doing for my team.and. I am giving praise and scrutiny at the same time,  is that now allowed,  do I have to be all in on one perspective?  I was impressed with his footwork last night,  his ball placement amd touch on  some were poor,  but overall I think that was his best game of the year.

Nailed it here.

Every week from Mahomes to Herbert to Allen, Burrow, Hurts, etc. there are dozens of examples of QBs making ridiculously stupid throws, staying in the pocket too long, overthrows, underthrows, throws short of the sticks, ignoring wide open receivers, etc., etc.

Cousins is graded against perfection by many Viking fans. And he's not perfect. I think if Viking fans actually watched other games, they would soon begin to realize just how good Cousins is in comparison.

what a waste of time,  hey everybody,  if you arent here to sing the praises of everything Vikings,  lap up all the over the top narratives certain to come from a great victory like last nights,  and then shit nothing but purple tinted rainbows out your ass... then your opinions just arent welcome on this board.

Oh please. Does baby need his bottle? Dude, you are one of the most negative on this board....so what, do I say, "Hey everybody, if we aren't here to rip the Vikings a new asshole, then your opinions aren't welcome on this board". You've done plenty of slamming of those that are positive, so don't give me the 'who me?' routine.

Neither one of us said the Vikings, Kirk Cousins, are perfect. Save the victim card. Long season, Minnesota could be crap this Sunday against Green Bay. But they've won 2 games in a row, so focusing on the positive seems to make a little sense, lol. At least until it doesn't.

yet you ignore the positives that I posted on multiple threads about Cousins play last night and focus on the couple of negatives I mention... fuck off already.  I dont rip on those that dont start shit,  everybody is entitled to their own opinions and I honestly dont care if somebody wants to be over the top positive,  but if they try and demean me or others for not sharing their positions then yes I do get defensive.

I did see some positives along with some strange backhanded 'compliments'...and then some criticism for some reason. Who says we aren't entitled to our opinions? Certainly not me. And I'm certainly not over the top positive. 'Demean'? lol.....or just pointing out the obvious?

What I pointed out was your perspective and stringent reviews of Cousins and that they aren't consistent or fair compared to all the QBs in the NFL that have 'shit moments'. That's exactly what I said. And I'm the first to accuse you of being negative? Remember: you and I are the 'assholes' of the board. We have a standard to uphold.  B)

Kirk Cousins is a top 5 QB.  Look how the mighty have fallen in LA and Buffalo.  If it wasn't for his age the only QB's you're picking before him are Mahomes, Burrow and probably Hurts.  If you throw age into the equation you could add a few to the "I'd pick you first" list but he's right there.
Cousins, put the Vikings on his shoulders without our best player, last night and won a game under the lights.  Isn't that what everyone has wanted?

we dont often review other teams QBs on this board so how the hell would we talk about the goods and the bads?  like I said,  if you and Homer want to talk about other teams QBs,  start a thread about them and we can do it when the situation allows.  and what backhanded compliments?  I am not much of a tennis player so I dont really have a back hand,  good or bad my comments are pretty much straight forward in most cases.

Well we could review Brock Purdy.  The magical run seems to have hit a little bump in the road.

I saw an insane stat where Shanahan is like 0-36 trailing by 8+ in the 4th qtr.  Purdy hasn't hadn't to play from behind which is a different kind of pressure than taking leads while your defense crushes the other guy.

I am wondering if when Cleveland is healthy if they dont try him back at RG to see if they can get something more over there.
